12oz bottle. pours out a reddish/brown color. aroma was malt forward with some earthy hops present. malty on the tongue with some blah hop flavor. nothing from this beer reminded me of an imperial ipa. i still would like to try other offerings from them considering they will be opening up shop in Wisconsin soon..

12-oz can. Pours a hazy medium amber with a dense and creamy tan head that takes off as soon as it touches the moustache. Very mild apricot nose mixed with caramel. Creamy medium body with modest carb. Caramel and apricot mid palate, along with a bit of nitrogenous funk. Not a welcome addition. Mild finish.

Very solid head that last. Actually impressive how long this head endures. Nice hop aroma. This was from a can, as soon as its popped, the aroma comes clear. Taste is sweet with a Hop punch at the end... Citrus herb. Excellent Job. As good as some great IPA’s from Great Divide.

May 2010: Pint served at Ales and Aces (Las Vegas). The bar is dark but the beer looked a clear amber/orange colour, on top sat an off white thin head that soon became a wisp and collar. Hops and hints of pink grapefruit came across my nose. The hops content killed whatever else might have been in the brew, no malt flavours could I find, some inkling of a citrus presence tried to appear, but got beaten back by the hops, which strangley didn’t give the beer a huge bitterness like some hops can (and do). A different beer for me, pleasant, but not a world beater.

Wittales (625) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 19, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2013 Appearance was hazy orange amber with creamy 2 finger off white lasting head, lacing throughout glass. Aromas where sweet honey caramel malts with citrusy buttery hops, spices. Taste was sweetness of malts upfront with the resinous lemony grapefruit hops the in end with an alcoholic acidic bite. Palate was smooth yet thin for a DIPA with creamy carbonation. The meduim body should be heavier, then the resinous bitter lasting finish. Could be smoother finish. DIPA average...

(12oz bottle from Total Wine Henderson). Pours a clear copper color with massive tan head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is caramel, resin, citrus and some tropical fruits. Taste is sweet with some bitterness on the end. Thinner bodied with a slick texture. Bitter, but smooth finish. Not bad at all, but its got a way to go before it can compete with the multitude of great DIPAs.

Can poured a clear golden amber with a small lasating amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and citrus. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit and candied orange with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

A clear, deep copper pour with a light tan head. There is a floral and pine hop aroma, but with a slight damp basement smell mixed in. The medium body has a somewhat sticky texture with average carbonation. The taste is sweet on the tip of the tongue while a little bitter in the back. This is followed by a boozy finish.

Draught at The Pub Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. I had never heard of this brewery before and this beer is one of those rare gems that you come across, no expectations, just drink and see. There was a bold fruity hop aroma bursting out of the glass. The flavour was great and right up there with the best IPA’s tha I have had. The flavour was well balanced and not overpowering in the hop department.

Clear amber with a well-suited, light beige head. Light fruit and pineapple nose. Exceptionally estery and fruity with some mild bitterness mixed in. After a sip or two, pineapple blasts to the forefront. Sticky sweet, but not too over-the-top.
