2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can with friends. Yellow appearance with a lasting white head. A bit of cardboard, lemon, and earth in the nose. Moderate sweetness. Pretty high bitterness. A little bit of toast, quite a bit of grapefruit, pine, and chewy malt. Kind of old but not very good anyhow.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to Wittales in the local 3.14 swap. Pours a clear golden orange from the can with bubbly off-white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma is light, but resinous citrus from the heavy cascade and a faint sweet maltiness. Taste is bigger, but a hint of soapy middle, bitterness takes over and lingers. Soft carbonation, good balance, minimal booziness, not bad.

Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours hazy light amber with small white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of fruit and citrus. Intense, bitter, hoppy flavour, with subtle, sweetish fruity notes, ending on a dry and acidic note. Bitter aftertaste. Decent.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy, orange-golden cool with a large white head. Biscuity, citrusy, sweet malt with disproportional and poorly balanced harsh hop. Flavor and aroma are the same. Sticky texture.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer has a nice golden hue color , the alcohol comes in at a 9.3% which actually does not punch you in the face it is well hidden in the scent of piney spruce trees a slight hint of citrus and grapefruit rhine .

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml can near 50F. Lgiht gold pour, huge head that is annoyingly easily-formed. The aroma is mostly cascade hops, pine, resin, and a huge amount of taosted malt scent. The flavor bring some hops, medium to low bitterness, some \ fruit and pine, I would say msotly cascades, very classic flavor. This honestly isn’t that bad. It just has a totally different delivery it is still dry yet malty, nice bitterness, butlacks a tropical fruit punch and aroma , just an old-school dipa. Was expecting much worse.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 This is a pretty decent IIPA but my can at least is not terribly fresh or vibrant tasting. If that is just how this beer is or if it’s old, I cannot tell because there is no date on it. Oh well. Rated as is for purposes of science! It pours an orange color so hazy aas to be verging on muddy. It’s head is thick and white and made of evenly sized small bubbles. The nose on this is, as you’d expect, quite hoppy with an emphasis on pine mostly and some earthy herbal notes underneath. It is somewhat sweet but not overly so and just a touch on the sticky side. This is a one and done kind of beer. It is just a bit too heavy to drink a lot of, which isn’t really a terribly problem at over nine percent alcohol. Finish is caramelly sweet with a lingering earthy bitterness. This isn’t bad but there’s really just so many good IIPAs that I don’t see myself every buying this again unless maybe I see it on tap.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear bright orange with a nice two finger off white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, and some dankness. Taste is similar to the aroma with a lot of nice grapefruit and tropical fruit notes and some light caramel notes. Has a medium body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty and refreshing DIPA that is definitely better then its rating says.
