3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle; poured a murky/hazy/cloudy golden/amber/orange color with an off white/khaki head. Aroma of sweet chewy malt, alcohol, and a bit of earth. Not very hoppy for the style. Flavor had alot of sweetness, caramel and some very ripe fruit. Hops were again subdued. Tastes almost more like a barley wine than a double IPA. drinkable, yet disappointing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. can from Total Wine - Pours a hazy amber color with a two finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt. Did I mention the aroma is toasted malt. Whereís the hops? This is a 2IPA, correct? Maybe I got a old can? The flavor isnít any better. The finish is fairly smooth and has a hint of pineapple. Medium body. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. The beer isnít bad, itís just not a 2IPA. NO HOPS!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz can pours clear copper with tall tan head of foam. The aroma offers up resiny hops, pine hops and thin hints of thick sweet maltiness off in the background. The taste begins with a hit of booze and resiny bitter pine hops before it moves into more hop flavor and still firm hop bitterness with grapefruit and lemon peel notes. Behind all of the hops is a bit of sweet malts that create nice base for this big somewhat boozy resiny bitter beer. All in all this is pretty darn good for the style.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew and Meilby. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange body with a small white head. Nose is syrup, harsh fat, hints of malty extract-like notes and raisins. Taste is nutty syrupy tones with hints of grass and...not much else, apparently. Medium body, soft carbonation. This might have suffered from trans-Atlantic transport, but I think itís just...weird.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a hazy golden amber with an off white head, the aroma is extremely sweet with a ton of malt, the flavor is all malt and caramel with no hops to it at all, the mouthfeel is sticky and sweet and the abv is tasted through out the entire beer, this is a huge sweet malty booze bomb.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Casa De Oro. Very hazy orange color upon pouring. Looks like a very unfiltered hefe. Sweet nose with only a moderate amount of hoppiness. Very dry and spiced hops up front. A bit of sweetness, finishing of with some sharp peppery hops. A little alcohol as well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Henderson, NV
Hazy light amber color with creamy head. Nice aroma, some toffee and hop, and light nuts. Malt flavor, with a cereals edge; strong bitterness, providing nice aggressive resins and a light fruity side.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Pacific Liquor: Appeared as an opaque glowing orange that had tons of sediment floating about while a frothy topping of head rested on top. Aroma is bad and has no evidence of being an Imperial IPA and smells more like a Raisin Bran cereal. The flavor is putrid with a taste of stale hops and malts that have clearly expired past their prime. Its almost as if Iím drinking a pure malt beverage such as Goya that has no hops of yeast added to the drink. Awful stuff and clearly should have been pulled off the selling shelves long time ago.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hop hazed orange, strong carbonation, big head, its been a long time any many beers later since I seen a head bigger than half inch. They seem far and few .Lots of thick lacing.
The aroma delivers well with fruit/floral.Ripe/tropical maybe fruit with sweet pastry breadiness.Pungent with some spice.Pretty nice.
Creamy mouthfeel medium/full body. Candied carmel malt/ juiceyhop taste. Sweet pastry note.Sweet finish then a creeping bitterness elevates to linger. Piney smooth refined bittering. Almost mint or menthol like most likely from the strength of this but not too boozy or alcoholy. Its kind of a milder version of Hopslam/Hoptimum. These kind of doubles are not my favorate but this is a pretty good beer. I love a good Maharaja, but in generall a good 6-8% ipa is good for me,if well made.Good ocassional IIPA to have.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. can from my local grocery store pours a clear golden color with big fluffy off-white head and good lacing. Smells like an IIPA with citrus and floral hops. Aroma is the same, with lots of caramel malts. Taste is sweet at first with a bitter finish as expected, but something in the sticky boozy malty mess isnít quite right. Body is medium, and mouthfeel is sticky with slight carbonation. I love IIPAs, but this is the worst one Iíve tried from a can (and only one bottled one - which was actually a malt liquor with an IIPA label) has been a greater disappointment.
