Can courtesy of beerbastard- thanks Joel! Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow color w/ a big, fluffy white head. Decent aroma of faint, piney hops & sweet, bready malts. Bites the tongue initially w/ bitter hops & alcohol. Moves into un-ripened nectarine, grapefruit pith & pine. Get some cracker & caramel in the middle. Finishes a little more bitter w/ the alcohol showing up again. More sweet than I typically like my DIPAís but not bad overall. A hard category to be "great" in.

This beer has a nice golden hue color , the alcohol comes in at a 9.3% which actually does not punch you in the face it is well hidden in the scent of piney spruce trees a slight hint of citrus and grapefruit rhine .

355ml can near 50F. Lgiht gold pour, huge head that is annoyingly easily-formed. The aroma is mostly cascade hops, pine, resin, and a huge amount of taosted malt scent. The flavor bring some hops, medium to low bitterness, some \ fruit and pine, I would say msotly cascades, very classic flavor. This honestly isnít that bad. It just has a totally different delivery it is still dry yet malty, nice bitterness, butlacks a tropical fruit punch and aroma , just an old-school dipa. Was expecting much worse.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 This is a pretty decent IIPA but my can at least is not terribly fresh or vibrant tasting. If that is just how this beer is or if itís old, I cannot tell because there is no date on it. Oh well. Rated as is for purposes of science! It pours an orange color so hazy aas to be verging on muddy. Itís head is thick and white and made of evenly sized small bubbles. The nose on this is, as youíd expect, quite hoppy with an emphasis on pine mostly and some earthy herbal notes underneath. It is somewhat sweet but not overly so and just a touch on the sticky side. This is a one and done kind of beer. It is just a bit too heavy to drink a lot of, which isnít really a terribly problem at over nine percent alcohol. Finish is caramelly sweet with a lingering earthy bitterness. This isnít bad but thereís really just so many good IIPAs that I donít see myself every buying this again unless maybe I see it on tap.

Pours a clear bright orange with a nice two finger off white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, and some dankness. Taste is similar to the aroma with a lot of nice grapefruit and tropical fruit notes and some light caramel notes. Has a medium body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty and refreshing DIPA that is definitely better then its rating says.

Golden beer with a sticky white head. Big thick hop resin nose. Strong caramel malt backbone with grapefruit rind and apricot hop flavors. There is a long pinching bitter finish. Nice IIPA.

Relatively smooth for a strong beer, orange amber with abundant creamy off white head. Hoppy, piney aroma leads to very astringent taste, sharp bitterness lingers long after. Still smooth enough to mask to the high abv. Nicely done.

Slightly hazy straw color with fluffy white head. Nice spicy aroma. Not overly hoppy up front but nocely hoppy overall. Clean finish. Not bad.

Bottle - Skunky hops with a bit of grass and a light malt sweetness. Pale gold with a bubbly white head. Resin, bitterness and a candy like sweetness. A decent IIPA, doesnít have the body or malts to really back it up though.

Pours a hazy copper orange color with nice soapy head from a can. Aroma is grapefruit citrucy hops upfront. Some tangerines and slight malt note. Taste follows the Aroma with a medium mouth feel. Typical west coast DIPA but is very well made. No alcohol noticable in the taste. Smooth drinking Dipa. But nothing standing out accept they did put it in a can wich jmo is a plus. Iím surprised this doesnít have a much higher score. Itís tasty!
