12oz bottle. Pours hazy copper color with very small white ring of bubbles. Aromas of a ton of sweet malts, caramel, booze, faded hops, and a little citrus. Not looking good. Flavors of warm sweet malts and caramel. Where are the hops. Not worth drinking. ughh

(12oz bottle from Total Wine Henderson). Pours a clear copper color with massive tan head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is caramel, resin, citrus and some tropical fruits. Taste is sweet with some bitterness on the end. Thinner bodied with a slick texture. Bitter, but smooth finish. Not bad at all, but its got a way to go before it can compete with the multitude of great DIPAs.

Bottle from Pacific Liquor: Appeared as an opaque glowing orange that had tons of sediment floating about while a frothy topping of head rested on top. Aroma is bad and has no evidence of being an Imperial IPA and smells more like a Raisin Bran cereal. The flavor is putrid with a taste of stale hops and malts that have clearly expired past their prime. Its almost as if I’m drinking a pure malt beverage such as Goya that has no hops of yeast added to the drink. Awful stuff and clearly should have been pulled off the selling shelves long time ago.

Can, extra from trade with my friend Randy in Arizona. Pours a clear golden orange color with a big, thick foamy head that fades very slowly, leave some lacing. Fairly faint aroma of musty grass hops and pale malt. Taste is stale, bitter hops with no sweetness to balance. Very strong bitterness. Light caramel malt backbone. Overpowering oily mouthfeel which also makes it a little thinner than I like. Overall, bitter hop bomb and the hops aren’t even fresh. Not a very good Imperial IPA.

Pours a slight-hazed golden in color with a well-built white head. Fruity-citrus hop aroma. Full-bodied with a floral, light piney hop dominance that lingers nicely. Pretty good for the price.

Tasted from a bottle received as a trading extra. Pours a clear light brown with very little head, but just decent lace. The nose is caramel malt with good fruitiness, featuring mostly dried fruits, and a nice grapefruit hop aroma that sneaks in under everything else. The flavor has some sweetness up front, but is a little more bitter than expected from the nose with the citrus and almost raisin fruitiness coming through as well. The body is fairly full, but has somewhat of a watery texture with very little carbonation and a long bitter and fruity finish.

Yellow brown reddish in color... Sweet syrupy aroma... Flavor is fairly sweet, burnt caramel malt, finish is not very bitter, mild spicy hop finish... Not the best

Deep golden color with a huge foamy whitish head. Bitter hoppiness, earthy, dirty, leading to a thin finish. Not as strong as the alcohol content would lead you to believe.

Poured from a can. Deeply golden with a lasting froth. Smells very fresh and piny with a touch sweetness. Full on the tongue with a silky, creamy texture. This high octane brew is a classic. High hop rate, fat malt body with an excellent sense of freshness. Pour me another will ya?
