12 oz can. Pours hazy orange with a thick cream-colored head with great retention. Aroma is packed full of caramel malt and a hint of cooked vegetables. Smells too malty. Taste starts out sweet before a big bitterness sets in. No hop flavors, just bitterness. Not a fan of malty IPAs like this.

Can. Pours a deep orange color with a thin white head. Tangy aroma with a nice, dry, hoppy feel. Nice, tart kick with sweet hops in the background. Excellent balance for a canned double IPA. Very impressive.

Bottle. Clear amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma is maybe a bit stale but has notes of grapefruit, mango, citrus, caramel and blackberries. Quite fresh aroma with a nicely malty backbone. Taste is light sweet and medium to high bitter with notes of grass, caramel and biscuit. Medium bodied with a bit high carbonation. OK DIPA, especially for the price ($4).

Light amber pour with a light tan head. Aroma is citrus, pineapple. Taste is a nice malt backbone with good hop flavor. A little spicy at the end. Nice hop aftertaste-ok lacing.

12 oz. can- Pours hazy orange with a one finger creamy off white head. Aroma is hops and malt, somewhat resinous. The taste is overly malty for an IPA, there is a hop presence, but way too much malt, caramel malt and IPA should not be used in the same sentence in my opinion. It isn’t horrible, but not for me.

Can from Mari’s. Pours crystal clear orange with a couple fingers of off white head. There is tons of carbonation in the glass supporting the retention of the head. The aroma smells like a pine tree, pine cone, some resin, light floral notes, mild caramel. The taste on this is pretty damn bitter and hits you pretty quick on the tongue. The hop flavor is fairly earthy and has a strong caramel backing. Limited citrus on this and the finish is very dry. Don’t see the low rating.. pretty solid overall brew for my palate.

Dark color - dark amber or brown. Not much head. Dank aroma, sweet and of molasses and spices. Taste is sweet and a bit malty. Not a lot of bitterness or hop flavor though. It’s still fairly decent.

12oz can. Pours a clear amber golden with dense head and plenty of sticky lacing. Very sweet up front and not much in the way of hops. First thing that comes to mind is pineapple upside down cake. Canned pineapple, hint of orange, caramel doughy cake malt, bit of alcohol heat in there as I warms and opens. Sweet up front, caramel and tea malts, candied pineapple, some stronger onion hop flavors try to poke through, but are just beat down by the sweet malt flavors. Better that the score suggests, but not my style.

Bottle from Lee’s Discount Liquor in Vegas. Pours a very murk brown color with not much head. Aroma is basically all sweet pineapple. Taste is mildly bitter and sweet with some caramel. Not too bad. Definitely does not taste like 8.2%

Pours a copper gold color with a cream colored head. Lots of maltiness and citrus hops in the nose. Taste is sweet and bitter. Its a good DIPA, but I’ve had better.
