Russian Imperial Stout brewed with chocolate and roasted barley malts. This beer has essences of chocolate and roasted coffee and compliments many desserts. This heavy bodied beer is best enjoyed at 55°F-60°F.

Thanks to gregwislonstl for sharing this one. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. The aroma has roast, soy, dark chocolate and dark caramel. It has a medium/full body with some light carbonation. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, ice cream malt, some spices, anise and astringency. The finish has spices, dry cocoa and roast. Nice.

Good coffee aroma. Some licorice. Taste good but cloying sweet. Low level carbonation. Seems under fermented. Ok effort, may be age in bottle.

A dark, brown pour with a huge, brown head. The aroma has molasses, chocolate, brown sugar, and mild coffee. It has a full body with chewy texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet all the way through.

The aroma is very nice with molasses, licorice, coffee, and chocolate. The appearance is black with a thin tan head. The taste is like the aroma but very bitter and astringent. It’s almost like tar. The palate is typical for the style. Overall not a great beer but has some good qualities of an impy.

Sampled from a bottle purchased in Las Vegas. Black as pitch with a thick tan head. Aromas are not particularly strong, and the taste is of very charred malts. Flavours of coffee and dark chocolate. Heavy bitterness and strong taste of alcohol. This beer lacks the smooth sweetness of some Imperial Stouts, but is powerful and characterful. I would give it a higher mark if the flavours came together a little better.

Tallahassee, Fl - Whole Foods Market - 12 oz bottle. Deep dark, pitch black pour, quickly fading khaki colored head, smalls beads cling to the edge of the glass. Aroma has some rich topsoil earthy notes. a hint of unsweetened chocolate. Flavor is pretty solid with some creosote notes, s touch of licorice, some bittersweet baker’s unsweetened chocolate. Mouthfeel is thick enough, Much better than expected and nice to have just a good ’ol impy stout without is being barrel aged or infused with something.

Pitchy pour with a dark tan, quickly collapsing head. Standard longneck, lackluster label. Decent, dark, olivine aroma. On the acidic side, coffee, nutty roast, a bit boozy. Thanks to PorterPounder.
