COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Russian Imperial Stout brewed with chocolate and roasted barley malts. This beer has essences of chocolate and roasted coffee and compliments many desserts. This heavy bodied beer is best enjoyed at 55°F-60°F.

This pours black with a thin tan head which leaves some spotty lacing. The aroma has some chocolate, molasses, coffee, and toasted oats. The flavors start off a bit sweet with caramel, molasses, and milk chocolate. However, it finishes roasty and bitter with grains, bitter coffee, and unsweetened dark chocolate. There’s some heft to this making it a smaller doses beer for me. While not incredibly exciting, it is a pretty well done Imperial Stout.

Big coffee, chocolate and malted barley on the nose. Black in color with a purple tint. Mellow flavors of rich cocoa, coffee beans, burnt caramel and some oats. Nice alcohol presence on the finish. Overall, it’s pretty good. Nothing too special or outstanding about this one. Just a mellow stout. I’d give this a C+ rating.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy roasted coffee malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.
