2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 penstemon (58) - - MAY 13, 2013
Deep orange with a white head. Nose of burnt toffee, orange, maybe a hint of canned pineapple. Taste of more burnt toffee, toasty nutty malt, hint of vanilla, moderate hop bitterness. I’ve never gotten more of a dominant toffee note in a beer before... and this is supposed to be a pale? Style aside this is not terrible, but I was still pretty underwhelmed.

22oz bottle (7.0% abv) picked up at Lee’s discount

OK, but very mild for a pale ale.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 dnstone (1984) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Pours a toasted golden color with a soft white head that settles of to nothing. Aroma is cereal-malty with some fruity notes. Taste is fairly sweet with a defined toasted maltiness...I can taste exactly what it would be like to chew the grain...followed by some nice hop balance. Really a great beer for the price.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Tmoney99 (8781) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2012
Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate earthy citra hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I might recommend this to a freind.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 crossovert (4563) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Infected bottle. Sour, band aid, totally overpowers anything it had going for it. A failure.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle:   Amber, a little dark, large pillowy cream colored head, nice lacing.   Soft hop nose, a little dank and dull, faint citrus peel.   Pretty flat on the tongue, muted hops and citrus peel, dank, a bit stale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Slightly metallic and astringent backside.   Lingering powdery sugar broken down hops.   Meh...
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kathouse (572) - Nevada, USA - JUL 23, 2012
This is listed as a pale but pours a medium amber with a big head. Aroma was a surprisingly thick toffee and orange. Very sweet. Medium body of grains and more caramel sweetness. Thought I would really dislike this because of all the caramel, but I found myself pouring more. Interesting. Some bitterness lingered on the palate. Hmm.
