Jun 11, 2009 I agree with BeerBaron617...Tastes really crappy. It poured a hazy brownish amber with an off white head. It didn’t really have any defining aroma to it, slightly yeasty. Taste: like they took bread and water, mashed it up and then drained the juice - fermented that, and poured it in a bottle. Not cute, will not buy again, not a fan.

May 15, 2009 Bottle. Poured a dirty, murky brownish amber color. Big off white head. Aroma of wheat, clove, banana; slightly sweet. Nice aroma. Flavor was pretty solid, but nothing great. Overall this was a quite pleasant beer.

May 12, 2009 Poured from bottle into Pint glass.
Pours a murky amber with a one-inch light off-white head.
The Aroma is light banana and clove.
There are a lot of similar flavors in the taste with banana and clove.
The mouthfeel is very light and bubbly and a bit dry in the finish which is nice.
Overall its a nice dunkelweizen for the money. Wheats for the most part are just not my thing though so I probably wouldn’t purchase again.

May 12, 2009 Pours a very hazy and cloudy orange and brown with a lingering off white head. Aroma is very heavy banana and yeasty with a lot of clove, perhaps a bit too sweet and estery but still pleasant. Flavor starts with a mellow fruit character with a slightly lemon and overripe banana character. Just a hint of spice in the middle and finishing very sweet with a caramel malt character. Almost no bitterness. Medium body and an active tickling carbonation. Not the best dunkelweis but the style is so good and it was darn good with a sausage, baked bean and corn on the cob dinner

May 9, 2009 Bottle... Poured cloudy maroonish brown with a beige head. Aroma of sweet yeasts and ester notes. Light, refreshing palate. Clove-like flavors with smooth malts and fruity notes. Very crisp, and refreshing, easy to drink on a hot day with a mild, bitter tangyness in the finish.

May 1, 2009 Pours a murky murky brown with an off white head. Banana and clove in the nose, maybe some bread, chocolate and a twinge of sulfur. Flavor is yeasty and estery, banana, spice, Finish kind of falls about into watery grain.

Apr 14, 2009 Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/14/2009. Murky brown body with a large frothy tan head. Sweet banana and clove aroma. Banana and clove flavor, some yeasty notes. Medium light body with moderate carbonation and a somewhat thin mouthfeel.
