12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Compared directly to the Josephsbrau Hefeweizen I had earlier. A: Pours a very dark tawny color with strong yeast haze. The head is a two finger light cream color with decent enough texture, but low retention. More aesthetically pleasing than their hefe. S: Banana, wheat, brown sugar, caramel, and some lighter fruits. Weak but pleasantly aromatic. T: A decent amount caramel and brown sugar to start. There are hints of crisp apple and other dried fruits in spots, while the finish is smooth and wheaty. Just like TJís hefe, itís decent enough, but kind of nondescript. M: A little less carbonation than I anticipated. Thinning out the body a little bit would really help this one be more drinkable - like a lot of the Josephsbrau beers, itís too heavy to support the flavor profile, but itís drinkable enough otherwise. O: Pretty damn average on all counts, but thereís a modicum of enjoyment to be found here. Itís cheap as hell, so itís still definitely worth a look.

Very unique smell on this one thatís hard to place, sweet and nice...not really fruity...sorta like bubblegum?? Taste is similar to smell, hard to place maybe ginger? finishes crisp and dry, wish it had a touch more smoothness on finish..unique

12 oz. bottle. It pours a cloudy brownish orange color witha khaki head. The aroma is sweet with lots of bubblegum, a little bread and plum. The favor is similar with more spicy cinnamon and clove, bubblegum with some bread. Medium acidity. Just ok.

Poured from a bottle. Murky copper color, huge frothy off white head. Pepper and clove aroma. Light body with a week clove flavor and a watery finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle, pours a deep deep amber, bordering on garnet, with a light tan head that settles to a steady centimetre and leaves nice lacing down the glass. Aroma is toffee, bananas, and a faint touch of cocoa, almost like grilling a banana and dipping it in cocoa powder. Taste is fresh bread, traces of caramel, bananas, and a grassiness in the background. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is evident without being prickly. Overall a good, well made, drinkable beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a slightly murky dark bronze color with a small white head. A sweet spicy nose, banana and pepper. Light berries, toast, some caramel. Pretty smooth as all these TJs beers are. Dark toffee. Banana ester finish. Solid.

The head is somewhat lacking but color is great with a hazy dark brown. Notes of banana, bubblegum, and clove along with a noticeable sweetness; almost cake-like. The flavor is very nice as well closely following the aroma. All of the flavors could be stronger overall but this beer nails it in the drinkability category. Slightly sweet mouthfeel with decent body. For $5.99 a six pack you really canít go wrong here.

Smells and tastes buttery. The wheat flavor helps the finish, but you really have to hold your nose to enjoy this one.

Nice dark caramel color with lots of head. Plenty of banana in the aroma and the yeast strain is quite present. Good value.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a weizen glass in late 2013. A: Dark caramel color with a slight head. Very cloudy with yeast. The head recedes quickly. S: Strong banana. Delicious. Slight banana bread. T: Follows the nose. O: This is a great value for the price. Itís not as good as the German dunkels, but itís still good.
