Nice aroma of bananas and caramel. A little too much carbonation with an odd buttery after taste.

Bottled: Pours a hazy orange color with a full off white head. Smells of fruit and malts. Tastes of hints of wheat, with a huge blast of fruit. Not bad....sweet!

A nice beer in the tradional german dunkleweiss style. It didn’t have the distinction of a Hacker Pshorre, or Wiehenstaphener dark, but it was a very good beer of it’s style. Tasted pretty authentic.

This beer is a nice attempt at a dunkelweizen. It has the aroma of candy bananas in malt. It is an opaque brown caramel color with a nice light tan foam head that lingers as the glass empties. It tastes of bananas with a slight clove spice and a little caramel. However, the finish is a bit watery with a mild sourness. It did not have the weizen characteristic spice ending with lots of carbonation that is almost acidic. Overall, a nice attempt at a great price. It is quite drinkable, just not great.

This tasted like shit. Don’t buy this. I love trader joe’s, but you need to commission someone else to brew your beer.

Great yeast flavors but with an odd bitterness. Very smooth and is quite mellow cold and as it warms. Aroma is slightly skunky Hefe. Is it labeled as a generic Trader Joes beer? Decent stuff.

Uhhh . . . pour looked like murky iced tea. About the same mouthfeel. Yeasty nose. Wheat and malts on the tongue. Pretty unremarkable. Not bad, just boring.

Thin bodied with a watery texture. Something is a little off in the taste. (Metallic and funky hop). Needs more body, more banana, more clove, and less metallic flavor.
