12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Ar: Toffee and caramel. Mild banana and sweet spice; not as much as I’d like. Ap: Pours a very hazy hazel with a 1" light tan head that dissipates quickly and doesn’t leave much lace. T: Lightly sweet dark caramel flavor with a fairly tart bite on the finish. P: Creamy and a touch thick, milder carbonation. O: Nice, serviceable wheat. Great deal for a buck.

Very interesting flavor, reminds me of pumpkin spice ale. Interesting wheaty, smoky flavor. Nice. Friend said it tasted like a hot dog.

This beer seems especially sweet, even for a dunkelweizen. I personally think it could have used a little more hops to balance it out.

Bottle. Pours a muddy brown with decent sized cream-colored head that disappears leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma of bannana bread and cloves. Flavor is rich and roasty, with of course wheat. Sticky on the tongue. Better than I expected from a generi Trader Joes beer!

Thin bodied with a watery texture. Something is a little off in the taste. (Metallic and funky hop). Needs more body, more banana, more clove, and less metallic flavor.

Pours a light caramel brown color with an aggressive, foamy beige head that doesn’t last too long. The aroma is sweet but not dense, with a combination of brown sugar and ripe bananas being most apparent. These characteristics continue through into the flavor, but there is also more of a yeasty earthiness, along with a light milk caramel character. The medium body and light carbonation allows each layer of the sweet malty profile to make its mark.

This cloudy brown beer has a sweet aroma. You really pick up the yeast flavor. It is surprising how sweet it is with its dark color. A smokiness rounds out this beer very well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is caramel, wheat, banana. Appearance is a amber haze. Beer is cloudy, nice tan head with lace. Taste is caramel, big banana, slight clove, yeasty, semi sweet with a nice slight hop balance. Tases like an abbey or another belgian brew Palate is full, lingering, bready. Overall, a great brew that was probably drank during medieval times. Great value at $1 a bottle at TJ. highly recommended..

12oz bottle tj’s.. pours a cloudy dark amber with little head, the aroma is musty sweet and lacks staying power.. initial hit to the palate is that of citrus, fruits and a slight biscuit maltiness that disappears quickly.. the carbonation is well pronounced and that wheat yeast follows the aftertaste, not a bad attempt at a dunkelweizen.
