COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Josephsbrau Plznr (pilsner) is a celebration of noble hops from central Europe. This style of beer was developed by German brewmaster Joseph Groll in 1849 in the town of Plzen (Pilsen), Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic) and was the first beer to be brewed golden and clear. This beer’s pin-point fine bitterness is perfectly accentuated by its crisp body.

Amber big white fluffy head. Smells of skunky soapy planty hops. Tastes watery spicy mostly of hops. Slighty acidic possibly from the immense amount of carb. slight wheat background. too hoppy to be czech style. I’d describe this as a pale pils.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear orangey-golden with a dense, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up sweet lemon zest and grassy notes over light bready malts.. clean and well-balanced. The flavor found crisp lemon, grass, and peppery notes over soft bread and lesser caramel malts.. refreshing finish.. well done. Lighter-bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. not a whole lot to it, but it was very well done.

Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Caramel and toast aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel, hay and toast upfront turning to bitter earth in the lasting finish.

pours a light amber with a half inch white head. Aromas of citrus, lemons and oranges, some grass, floral notes with a touch of bread and a trace of weed in the background. Taste is like toasted fresh bread, with grassy notes and a lingering fresh bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and pretty good really.

12oz bottle. Clear golden yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma is crisp European hops and a light cereal malt. Flavor is also very crisp, clean, and refreshing. This is a really nice and I’m again surprised by the low ratings. Nothing super exciting but mission accomplished for the style.

Lightly shitty hay and corn nose. Crystal clear amber, medium sticky head, fairly good retention.Light bodied, but full flavored. Prominent grassy bitterness. with a lemony tang. Nice intensity for a pilsner.

This beer pours a clear golden color. It has a strongly wheaty aroma but is much more bitter than you would expect from the aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured a clear straw color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Medium floral grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet dry finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

Clear golden pour with a tall white head. Nice biscuit malt aroma, sweet bread, and yeast. However, there are some strong grass notes, a weird grainy quality, and some apple. Flavor is on the sweet side with a lot of grain and biscuit notes. Moderate apple, heavy grass, and a bit of yeast. Slight bitterness on the finish.
