12oz bottle. Looks like this is replacing the older "Hopfest" but they are describing this as a Bohemian style pils instead of German, and I would agree with that here. A little on the darker side of gold, with a spicy hop aroma and a little bready malt to back it up. Fuller in the mouth for the style but very clean. Some sweet bready malt and earthy and spicy noble hop flavors. Not too far from Urquell or the like but not one of my favored examples of the style. Not a bad choice at Trader Joe’s awesome pricing, but not quite as refreshing as I like a pils.

JosephsBrau Plznr has a thick, pureed-type off-white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, and significant lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, biscuit grain and grassy hop oil. Taste is of those elements, with an even slightly citrus hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and a touch chewy, and JosephsBrau Plznr finishes crisp, refreshing, and semi-dry. RJT

Clear dark gold - frothy lace - nose is grassy, medium sweet, with floral hops and a touch of DMS - flavor is clean sweetness up front, followed by grassy and lightly floral hops - finish has a moderate bitterness and is fairly crisp and crackery - it’s not too bad, but the sweetness is a bit high and there is a hint of huskiness and DMS tha needs to be cleaned up - if I want a lager for 6.99 a six pack, I will grab an LTD from Full Sail instead.

Another trader joe's tick. Pours darker gold, light visible carbonation that powers a short lived head. Light grass nose. Taste is slightly bitter, followed by a wave of grass, finish is short and abrupt. Body is light and slam able.

Poured from bottle into a tulip glass, Pours a light golden color with a small white head, some lacing as well which was nice. Slightly piney and hoppy aroma. Taste is bitter with a bit of a malty finish. Overall, nothing too impressive about this beer, but it is very drinkable.

Bottle. Deep golden and still, with a standard head. The aroma is a bit starchy and seemingly corn-laden. But this drinks with a decent hoppy sting on top of a firm, malty base. (#5432, 2/7/2014)
