In technical, brewmaster terminology, this is one groovy beer. Crisp, easy drinking, and refreshing. As groovy as a big wave ... without the salt. 25 bitterness units

single Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours golden with a dissipating white head, not much carbonation bubbles. Pleasant aroma of lemonade, fruity esters, and light grains. Light bodied and refreshing. Flavor of biscuit and citrus countered by a tame spicy bitterness. Crisp finish with just a very small hint of hop. for a Kolsch style it did not hit the mark with me.

Bottle at a friend’s party. Nothing too exciting. But I don’t go into this with great expectations.

Gold with a thick, meringue head. Spicy and hoppy nose with some lacing. Easy intro with mild carbonation, a light mouthfeel, and finishing with a lingering, dry hoppiness.

Poured a hazy amber color with a short white head that went down to almost nothing very quickly. The beer was nothing kolsch like in appearance. The aroma was predominately bready and yeast with hints of citrus hops. The flavor was mild with some caramel malt sweetness and a hint of some citrus hops. The beer did have a nice refreshing quenching taste on the finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is light fruity yeast, maybe some pineapple rind. The flavor has tropical fruit, Fruit Stripe Gum, wheatty malts, and a simple grassy hop profile. Doesn’t taste or feel like it was lagered, not very Kolsch like. More like a simple golden ale.

Light aroma of grain and some DMS. Light body, crisp, light floral bitterness, and a dry finish.

Golden yellow, faint haze, decent eggshell head. Mild apple and yeast aroma. Pretty wimpy follow through, mild hops and sweet finish. Mild, refreshing I guess.

355ml bottle. Golden pour, foamy white head. Aroma is herbal, floral, some metal notes, light fruit and grain. Smells pretty refreshing and traditional. Flavor is more of a let-down, initial flavor is wet dog, its light and a good hop chracter, relatively dry, but just falls short, it has some off notes.

Some white head, clear sparkling appearance, low aroma but a more vigorous flavor with a marked bitterness, a little metallic. Not very good. Bottle.

Sweetish malty aroma. Standard longneck, functional label. Clear medium gold, small misty white head. Tangy, slightly metallic, some straw notes. Medium body, goes a little flat. Tangy aftertaste. Trader Joe’s, Tallahassee.
