Very cloudy, almost like a weizen, small head, very thick beer, full body, tastes quite like a kellerbier and it has the same kind of wooden cellar moisture note there. Quite OK.

On tap at Blue Orange in Kaunas..Like drinking a piece of history, fantastic brew, cloudy amber w a small head, wonderful malty honey aroma, quite earthy, taste is sweet and malty with some herbal hints, slight bitterness which just about matches the sweet maltiness. Very full bodied and flavoursome, a clasic farmhouse style beer.

Tap at Snekutis old town. Deep gold, cloudy, low lacy head. Malty, bready nose, esters, some diacetyl, pear, peach. Sweet and fruity, peaches, bread, biscuit, dry finish with hay.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2013 Plastic bottle for a first try at Bambalyne in Vilnius.
From tap the next day at Alaus Namai, where I found it not much different.
Hazed semi-dark amber with a small ring of a head if you force a pour. Raw, worty, herbal aroma with more cabbage and carrots and composted, browned fruit (apple and pear mostly). Sugary, raw grain flavor, dirty sweat sock and just-fermented apple juice. Watery texture with a limp body. Seems very under fermented, like it came out of primary after a week.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2013 27/IV/13 - 1L PET bottle mentioned "Jovaru Šnekutis" @ Zythos Bierfestival (2013-427) Thanks to Joris and hence marcusftbd for the sample!

Little cloudy amber beer, no mentionalbe head, non adhesive. Aroma: yeast, bready, sugar, floral, some chloride. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: bready, sweet, yeast, some yoghurt, floral, little bitter. Aftertaste: bready yeast character, honey, sugar, a bit metallic, but mainly just plain weird, ok?

a little hazy yellow/golden colored beer, with a white head. The aroma has some fruits like orange/apricot with tonsel. Notes of malt. The taste is thin fruity with notes of malt. The aftertaste is watery, some fruits and malt notes.

Bottle sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew courtesy of Joris and British friends.

Tasted as Jovaru Šnekutis Kainiškas alus Small rim, mossy-orange colour. Grain, grain, grain and some malt. Caramelaroma. Sweet malts, maltsyrup, honeyish. Syrupy, slick², viscous. Pretty awful, and I wonder whether it’s fermented at all? Tim, Martin, etc. I’m sure this tastes great on tap in Lietuva, but in the west, from the PET, it s*cks right royally. Thanks to marcusftbd

Thx to JorisPPattyn for this one – sort of assume that he knew the couple which deposited this one & another bottle from this brewery at our table. Otherwise thanks to them for bestowing upon us randomly Lithuanian awesomeness. 1000 cl. brown PET bottle which looks more like 750 cl. Lithuanian craft in PET bottles, awesome. Psychopathically happy bearded, very, very old school Lithuanian on the bottle. Murky orange amber appearance with almost no head. Smell is sweet caramel, sweet syrup, sweet honey, syrupy,… Taste is sweet caramel, caramel extract, honey, sweet herbs, brown sugar, creamy,… Flat, light honey,… Not too bad but nowhere near as awesome as their Su Naturaliu Medumi.

From the jug, at he brewery. I have no idea what this but it is to be respected. Take a glass of Orval, oud lambiek and sahti alongside it and you will start to get it.
