cfrancis (148), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada Feb 23, 2009 Very forgettable Pilsner. Nothing would distinguish it from anything else. terrybail (312), London, Ontario, Canada Feb 14, 2009 473ml Can from the LCBO
Pours a pale hazy yellow with a good sized white head
The aroma ha sthat guelph funk ( is it the water) earthy malt and a touch yeasty
The taste is ok a touch medicinal and dry finish
Beershine (2268), Bamberg, Germany Sep 30, 2008 Clear golden with white head. Some pale malt, some grassy hops, not terribly exciting yet. Soft mouthfeel with high but gentle carbonation. Sweet but clean with off-dry finish. A total yawn. Oakes (7618), Bamberg, Germany Sep 29, 2008 Golden colour. Very grassy hop with a hint of caramel. Really simple, gassy, and slightly grassy. Big yawn. CapFlu (3432), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 1, 2008 (473ml bottle) Purchased at LCBO Rideau in Ottawa for $1.95. Pours a medium, white foamy head atop a deep amber body. Nose of grass and mild malt. Flavour is mildly hopped with some caramel malt and spice finishing the palate. Nothing special but not offensive for under $2. mabel (2208), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 [1552-20080727] 473mL can. Bit of straw in the aroma. Clear, yellow brown body with a quick white foam. Straw-like grain flavour is mostly bubbly and bland. Light body is a little astringent. Fair.
(w/ jerc) Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 One of the few Canadian beers I can say I thoroughly enjoyed. Tastes like any good German Pilsener you have had before. Recommended. Barnabus (29), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 27, 2008 Large, fizzy, rapidly dimishing head with no lacing. A deep sparkling yellow colour. Smells of malt and grass. Medium body with a refreshingly clean feel. Average finish. A very refreshing beer that is a little complex.
