Hazy, pale amber in color with short, bubbly white head. The flavor is pretty straightforward, but it’s the hops and the yeast used that stand out. The bitterness really comes through later in the aftertaste. What I really enjoy about pilsners is their clean, crisp, distinctive bite and this beer holds true to that promise. I love a good pilsner! presario (2957), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Scored a free 6-pack from a Brick man...I’ve had the Honey Red installment of the ’Founder’s Series,’ and this one definitely held up the quality. I’d had the old Brick green-label pilsner a year ago, and it was hard to stomach, but this beer really hits the mark. It’s nothing outstanding, just a solid beer that’s a worthwhile alternative to macro offerings for basically the same price. Could be hoppier in my opinion, but that’s the only fault I can attribute to this beer. Like I said, it’s just a solid lager. Nothing I’d crawl a mile for, but I wouldn’t turn it down if offered. duckdown (7), GTA, Ontario, Canada does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2006 First time trying this is tonight, and am pretty pleased with it. When it isn’t fully chilled it has a strong taste, which I didn’t enjoy as much, but once it came to a nice cool temperature its a smooth-drinking beer that goes down well. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Oct 18, 2006 This beer didn’t hold up in head to head tasting with Stone Hammer Pilsener. Much more subtle flavours and aromas but very easy drinking with a clean, smooth finish. Cheers! blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size foamy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, diactyl and some light hops. Flavour’s pretty much the same: caramel malt, diactyl and light herbal hops. Light to medium bodied. Sure it’s better then the old Brick beers but it still doesn’t do much for me -- best I can say is that I can drink it. sinkhole (178), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Good golden colour with decent white head. Has the distinctive Brick sweet yeast hop aroma, but the smooth/mellow flavours without a hasrsh aftertaste were a pleasant surprise.
