Somewhat bready aroma, with secondary notes of mild fruit. More bread in the mouth with some well integrated flavors of toast, herbal hops, and a bit of citrus. There’s a bit of a bitter grassy flourish at the end which saves it from the fat palate syndrome that so many North American pilsners fall prey to. It’s not quite in the same league as the best European counterparts (or Prima Pils), but it’s definitely getting there. Good stuff. MarkoR (224), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

In mouth, a clean crispy malt with fruity notes, a good crisp hops. This is one classy pils, very pleasant and quaffable. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 24, 2006 This pilsner has a light hoppiness towards the finish and a touch of fruit. The body is spritzy, too much so. Fairly ordinary and nothing to make it stand out as a good pilsner. tupalev (2615), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Blankboy. Medium yellow, a few bubbles, foamy medium white head. Decent aroma, strong bready light malt with some hops - sort of pils like hops, but earthier. Disappointing watery initial taste. Medium lively mouthfeel. Flavour asserts itself after a bit - nice hops and light malt. There is a lot of flavour here totally masked by this watery character - get rid of the water and we have a world-class pils! As is, good for the style and miles ahead of the crap Brick has been spewing at us in recent years - you have a long way to go to win me back (well, you never really had me outside the Bock) Mr. Brickman, but this is a good start.
