Bottle. Golden body with good carbonation and a decent white bubbly/foamy head. Its malty/hoppy aroma carries flowery and candy hints. Taste lacks hoppiness for a Pilsner. Its short finish leaves a kind of metallic aftertaste. Disappointing and not really conform to the Pilsner style.

341 mL bottle. Now here is an easy drinking beer, great example of pilsner style. Thin white head and golden colour. Slightly sweet taste and very mild hops. Drink this cold. Better easy-drinking beers out there with better flavour, but this ain’t bad. Very light body, smooth, no bitterness.

Bottle (341ml). At BeerBistro, 2006 Golden Tap Awards. Oily gold pour, average white head. Here’s an improvement - only SOME diactyl caramel nastiness in the aroma (unlike their lame amber, which was redolent with it), some dead perfumy hops. Taste is pretty decent - lightly caramel malt, solid presence of dry, lightly floral/herbaceous hops, quick finish but not too sweet. Average body, quite lively (almost annoyingly fizzy) - quite drinkable.

bottle: I drank way too much Brick Beer during my days at the University of Waterloo, so my expectations were low. However, Wow is this a nice clean beer! Pours a lovely golden colour with a nice white head. Smells fruity with some sweet hops mixed in. Mild tasting on the palate. At first, it tastes like not much is going on with this beer, but then it finishes with a well balanced bitterness. The aftertaste is really cool as it tastes almost creamy and leaves you smacking your lips until your next drink. Definately an above average pilsner or lager. Well done!

2008-07-27. Bright yellow body with a small white head. Muted, lightly rassy aroma. Flavour is grassy straw, light bitterness and mild notes of noble hops? Average palate. Quaffable slightly better than mainstream pilsener, overall impression of ’Meh’. 5/3/6/3/12 - 2.9 Can from the LCBO

TFOB 2006. Yellow body with a small white head. Mild aroma of light hops and malt. Light bitterness and some pale malt. Not that different from the regular Brick lager, but its quaffable. Average palate. 6/3/6/3/13 - 3.1

Draught @ TFOB: Wow, finally the pilsener that made me a believer! Previous to this the only pils I’ve truly found drinkable is Steam Whistle, but this one beats that one like a red-headed stepchild. Or a rented mule. Either or. Anyways, she pours amazing, pure liquid gold with a bountiful creamy white head, very light natural carbonation rising slowly. Aroma heavy in floral and hoppy notes with plenty of grains. Taste is pure, proper, Czech-style pilsener without the harsh bitterness I’ve become used to from the style. Very light in body with floral malts over the tongue and hops lightly tapping them on the way down. Amazing, I’d drink this anytime; after the Laker and PC debacle, Jim Brickman has won me back.

341 ml bottle. Golden yellow colour with a thick, mostly diminishing creamy white head. Floral, honey, and cereal aroma. Cereal, honey sweetness, a touch of grainy flavours with a light floral hoppey bitter finish, very low bitterness. Light bodied, soft, refreshing mouthfeel. Not bad.
