cyrenaica (265), Milton, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
I tried this beer on April 30, 2008 after purchasing an assorted 6 pack of Ontario Craft Brews from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent orange-gold with a thin white rocky head that lasted. The aroma was typically Brick with some malty tones, some yeasty tones, and a little bit of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with some mild carbonation. The flavour was a nice balance of malts and hops, and was very good for a bottom-fermented beer.
mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 [1552-20080727] 473mL can. Bit of straw in the aroma. Clear, yellow brown body with a quick white foam. Straw-like grain flavour is mostly bubbly and bland. Light body is a little astringent. Fair.
(w/ jerc) Skidds (172), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 One of the few Canadian beers I can say I thoroughly enjoyed. Tastes like any good German Pilsener you have had before. Recommended. Barnabus (28), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 27, 2008 Large, fizzy, rapidly dimishing head with no lacing. A deep sparkling yellow colour. Smells of malt and grass. Medium body with a refreshingly clean feel. Average finish. A very refreshing beer that is a little complex. JaPe (69), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 17, 2008 Decent slightly sour pilsner. Not too sweet, bitter or watery, kind of a good balance of pilsner flavors. If I was a pilsner guy - I would be excited,. I just don’t think I’m that into this type of beers.
