3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - NOV 2, 2011
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Sparkling carbonation. Fruity, malty nose with yeast, peaches and a slightly metallic malt profile. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried pineapple, marmalade candy and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with lots of candy sweetness. A bit unsophisticated, but decent and quite drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 prawlie (474) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2011
33 cL bottle into a the proper Judas glass at Domus in Leuven. Murky blond with a huge head. Strong, slightly acrid, spiced aroma. Bitter, with a hint of sourness, a bit sharp and estery. I quite like it despite it being a bit like a special brew.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (3048) - GERMANY - OCT 5, 2011
I promise, no Dylan references. Bottle. Nose is sweet, sweet malt with orange peel and light vanilla, a really fruity yeast here. Clear yellow-golden with a large and rocky beige head. Taste is sweet with a large hot alcohol component, heavy sticky fruit and some burn. Loaded with honey, peach, berry, orange. Like the sugar component here, and the brazen alcohol works well. Low bitterness and a nice swash of yeast (also giving a touch of spice). Sticky medium body. Probably better suited to the end of the night of drinking, or as the single solitary sipper, but I can’t say I disliked it.

Drank from a 500ml can bought in Brussel Central. Very sweet, with honey and alcohol. Not much hop character or complexity. Basically it’s a cheap-ass version of Duvel. Made for getting drunk quickly. Drinkable, but really not good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bosskie (213) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2011
transparent reddish borwn beer with light central carbonation. Weak head, overripe cherries, strawberries, caramel peachy ripe alcoholic smell.
Caramelised apple taste, alcoholic but well in balance with the sweetness and fruitiness. Brown sugar in there, mayb esugar cane. Great beer! Interesting, surprising, there were some tastes there I couldn’t place...a surprising combination of flavours.
