Bottle shared in London. As ’Judas’, 8.5%. Was interested to try this as it came strongly recommended by a friend. Dark yellow or light orange, clear, lightly sparkling, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is honey, sweetcorn, wafer. Body is light, foamy, soft carbonation. Taste is barbequed corn on the cob, sweet and boozy, honey, drying alcoholic finish. A fairly standard Belgian strong ale. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Leightons place 21/03/2016. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. Clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is considerable diacetyl, butterscotch, apple, some caramel. Flavour is composed of caramel, toffee, diacetyl, tangy green apple. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation, frothy. Tangy finish. High boost.

The beer has some nice but simple looks. There is a nice layer of rough white foam on top of the beer. The foam collapses quickly, but a tiny bit of roam remains. The smell is nice. There is a life fruity banana aroma, combined with a bittersweet almondy alcohol smell. It has a smell reminding me of Belgian Tripel beers. There is also a nice tiny sweet candy aroma. There is a good balance between bitter and sweet notes. There is also a yeasty soreness in the smell. The taste is slightly less. The balance is a little of towards the side of bitterness. There is also a little meat like metal flavor. The aftertaste is also a little disappointing, but not bad. The palate is nothing special.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours totally clear gold with a frithy, white head. Rich doughy bread in the nose, faint butterscotch, light yeast. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, creamy and sugary, some yeast, doughy white bread. Full bodied with with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, a little boozy, with notes of apple sauce, doughy bread, pale grains. Pretty so so.

Bottle thanks to Dirty D. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet, white bread, cheap grain, buttered white bread and cereal. The taste is crisp, sweet, cheap white head, banana, candy, cereal, grainy, alcohol boost and some tang with a sweet, bready finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit sweet and bready. Good to get boosted I spose, but I wouldn’t drink this on the reg.

Bottle at Bespin, thanks to DD, 21/03/16. Golden with a moderate off White covering. Nose is yeast, buttered popcorn, straw, cereal, grain. Taste comprises sweet malt, grain, caramel, residual sugar. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a boost factor. Sweet and buttery, vague citric interplay, not great.

It’s a pretty good beer, It lacks of yeast deposits, though. The beer is golden with nice long lasting white foam. Smells very yeasty. Pretty average on the palate. A little sweetness/bitterness in the taste and a bit metalic/malty.
