330 ml bottle in Germany. Light orange copper color with a nice frothy head. Aroma is strong of apples, pears, lightly citrusy and moderately yeasty. Flavor is much the same, lightly sour and with a lighy hoppy bitterness. Sligtly warming but hides the alcohol well.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 txspartan (601) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - MAR 4, 2011
It looks like a promising beer, but it somehow fails to deliver. It’ll do if you’re in need of something to drink, though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 villy83 (262) - Sausalito, California, USA - JAN 13, 2011
33 cl bottle from a local supermarket. It pours a hazy yellow-amber liquid, with small-medium consistent white foam (somehow lasting throughout the beer). The aroma is very hoppy, with a good deal of roasted malt; very balanced. Hints of citron (orange), honey, vinegar, spices and fresh grass. It tastes likewise, with the hop-malt balance now inverted (maltier). Medium sweetness, high bitterness and full bodied, it has a long and dry finish. The alcohol is noticeable, but it blends nicely. It might get boozy if not properly kept or poured. This is a strong one; very complex brew. A very pleasant beer to drink. Simple but very good presentation and crown cap.
