Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAR 2, 2010
Golden colour, a bit darker then suspected. Fruity, lightly sour smell, citrus, apples, spices. Big white head, but won’t hold long enough. Fruity, bit woody taste. Lichtly bitter-sweet aftertaste.Good and easy drinkable, but nothing special.

hawthorne00 (1304) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 22, 2010
Bottle, 15C. Bright clear orange with a snowy white head that laces well. Smells of spiced (coriander seed, cloves, white pepper) oranges and a little yeast. Very thick and sweet mouthfeel. Alcohol is prominent and unintegrated. Short bitter almond finish with some faint unpleasant metallic notes. A few more bubbles or a bit more complexity and you could forgive the harshness. I quite liked it but there are much better beers of this type.

Sweet crystal malt and some alcohol. Blond with a small white head. Sweet with a bit of banana and spice. A moderate belgian blond ale at best.

Golden orange in colour with big White head on top. Aroma is malty with hints of zest, yeast, pepper and cereals. Taste is warm, malty with a driesh, slight fruity, citric touch and it ends with a bitter hoppy note

A good solid beer - but it really does stand in the shadows of Hoegaarden Grand Cru. Lots of fruit, bubblegum etc, but muted in real presence.
