RSRIZZO (951), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 7, 2007 Had this beer on tap at there pub on 4/23/2003. Aroma is a faint hint of berries. Color is a hazy gold with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste light and fruity. Starting with a light body that goes down with a fruity feel. Finish is a mild raspberry flavor. This is not as good as when this place first opened and it is not a good fruit brew. BDR (1850), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jun 2, 2007 Faint raspberry on an otherwise nonexistent nose. Cloudy yellow beer with a faint white head. Litt raspberry in the body amid the wheat. BeerandBlues2 (2411), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 17, 2005 Draught. Pours light gold with a thin white head; spotty lacing. Raspberry malt aroma. Sour raspberry and then sweet malt flavor. Light bodied. Aubrey (2554), Denver, Colorado, USA Nov 16, 2004 Similar in appearance to their wheat. Sweet and candy-like raspberry infusion. Tasted kind of synthetic-like, with some odd off-flavors. Couldn’t even finish the sample. Ernest (4186), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 30, 2002 Draught. Body is hazy light amber.
Aroma is
molding raspberries mixed with lettuce.
Flavor is
lightly sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is
lightly acidic.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The vilest aroma in a raspberry wheat I’ve ever encountered...they must have gotten the berries that Safeway puts on sale that are starting to turn black and fuzzy, then noticed that the dumpster out back was filled with unwanted heads of rotting lettuce...treasure!
