Clear very pale yellow ale with a mostly lasting white sheet. There you go, under the generic label lies a gem of drinkability. Straightforward, but very efficient pale honey cracker malts, the like of which most Quebec brewers seem afraid of using without a splash of crystal, leave plenty of room for the unagressive, yet sharp American hops to deploy their citrusy and gently tropical (litchi?) flavours. In mouth, the malts offer a sufficient, lean background upon which the hops thrive, leaving a lingering bitterness after each sip and procuring more resins that the nose would have led to expect. Very solid, easy drinker, helped a lot by its relative dryness and especially by its very engaging, sharp bubbled carbonation that gives it a rare crisp quality for an APA. A simple pleasure, that of a job well done.

341ml bottle. Pour golden to dark yellow with a none lasting foam, lightly hazy. Aroma of light malt and smooth hops, a bit resinous. Medium body, average carbonation, a bit oily. Taste, the bitterness take the place with a finish of malt a little sparkling on the tongue. Well done in that classic style.

I have to admit, although I’d tried and quite enjoyed a couple other beers from these guys, the second I saw the word "blonde" I was tempted to skip past it. But then I noticed the "American Pale Ale" and "40 IBU" underneath and figured this probably wasn’t your average, vapid blonde. It isn’t. Pour is cloudy pale gold/straw with the whitest steamed milk cap I’ve ever seen. Nose is hop forward, but a little timid: pine, citrus (mostly grapefruit), with some nice fruity/floral elements. Sweet bready malt that’s just sturdy enough to stand up to the hop bomb bitterness. Long, resinous, bitter finish. Maybe a touch too bitter, but damned drinkable. Really solid APA.

Purchased in Montebello at a Chocolate store. Pours a slightly hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head that lasts a while and gives out thick foamy lacing. Beautiful fresh aromas of hops at first pour. With time, the blond cereal malt appear. The taste is a little milder, like an APA should be, but with still some good bitterness from the grassy hops over the malt. Wet mouthfeel at first, but gets to a nice dry finish. Quite a good one for the style, and my first Jukebox experience.

Bottle @Mondial de la Bière. A clear yellow beer with low head. Nose is on pine and light resin, floral. Aroma is on grassy and pine hops, floral, light body, very drinkable. Finish has resin touch, long bitterness on aftertaste.

Pour is hazy yellow with a thin frothy head. Nose is fruit forward, grapefruit and citrus, floral hops. Some bread, biscuits and sweetness. Light metallic, too. Taste is as fruity, mainly grapefruit, but less sweet than the nose. Light bitterness in the end. Fresh bread notes. Very refreshing beer!
