[Draught at Mondial 2014, Montreal] Pours a nice-looking dark gold with a foamy off-white head and some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma, hoppy and fruity. Flavour has lots of hops, citrusy and tart, and a finish that’s quite bitter. Medium bodied. Quite good.

Cheers!

Hazy orange-amber in colour with a thin white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of caramel and pine, light orange citrus. The flavour is very piney, herbal and malty, lots of citrus. Intensely bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes very long, lots of piney hops with a bit of warmth. This is a hop first IPA with just a bit of malt balance.

341ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha in Gatineau, Quebec.

Excellente bière! 7% d’alcool! L’agrume en bouche est bien dosé et amertume presque parfaite.

Bottle, 04/18/2014. Pours golden orange, dense white head dies to a fine haze on the surface, thick ring of lacing left around the glass. Aroma is bright grapefruit, citrus with toasted caramel malts, resinous pine, fresh spruce. Taste is similar, grapefruit, some sweetness from the malts, spicy pine bitterness. Medium light body. Decent.

The jukebox distirtion is one of my favourite IPA. It has a very nice bitterness and it is brewed in Montreal. I love it.

(Bottle sample c/o a friend) Pours a lightly hazed pale golden orange with a small frothy white head, no lace. Punchy hop aroma, mango to the forefront with its trademark sweet fruit/pine combo, quite resinous, a little citrus as well, some sweet pale malt backing. Palate echoes the nose, lots of bright tropical fruit/citrus/pine hops, somewhere between leafy and resinous, with a sweet pale malt core. Fairly bitter towards the finish, strips out that sweetness and the aftertaste is quite dry and hoppy. Mouthfeel moderate, carb effervescent. Not a ton of complexity to the malts, mostly one-note sweet, but very nice hopping. Quite an enjoyable, drinkable IPA.
