This one is salty, banana esters and clove, with a slight hint of brown sugar. A little bit tart and sweet, but i didn’t mind it, wheaty finish, yeasty. No real complaints, definitely not over the top in any way, a nice brew. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2004 Light brown color with a tall tan fluffy head. Heavy malt and light clove aromas. Flavors of caramel and plae malt with a hint of wheat sweetness. A decent but next echelon dunkelweizen. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2004 Clouded copper body with a huge creamy brown head. Aroma is bubblegum, spice, banana and wheat. Splashes of yeast abound as well. Taste is wonderful! Wheat, spice, fruit, and yeast. Clove and bananas stand out while the yeast comes in towards the end. The malt and wheat bulk the rest of the beer up. Mouthfeel is full and round with medium carbonation and spice. Finish is more spice and sweetened malt with bubblegum. Great beer! shrubber85 (3019), Wallhalben, Germany
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Aug 7, 2004 Updated: Jan 26, 2007Tap. Moderate aroma of primarily peach and malt. Nice medium brown cloudy appearance - exactly what I expect from a Dunkel. Flavor is exceptional - peach and malt flavor well blended without either being overpowering. One of the best when fresh. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2004 Bottle. Very rusty orange with a thick foamy head. Nose is strong-malt , clove, and banana. Typical hefe taste-banana and such. But, this is much more spicy than I am used to in a hefe. Some black pepper and anise come out. This is a very thick and chewy beer. The flavor is complex and hard to describe. The finish is very sharp with a good wallop of carbonation. This is nice, I would have it again, and I don’t usually like wheat beers. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2004 This is a hazy tea colored brown beer with a huge creamy head.
Aroma has some clove, a little banana, but not as much as some others.
The flavor is sweet with a touch of sourness from the wheat, fruity with a creamy full mouth feel. Average stuff. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
