2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale cloudy yellow pour, frothy white head. Banana and yeast nose, pleasant. Taste isn’t as good - flavor is weak, not at all pronounced, and there’s a bit of a sour off-flavor in there. Reminds me a bit of the Sanwald, less oily, but a bit more astringent. Dull and disappointing.

cloudy light orange with a large creamy white head. banana and clove aroma. sharp carbonated mouthfeel. more of a tangy citrus flavor rather than a creamy banana.

Bottle... "Eastern You’re A Peein’ Lager & Ale Night"... Cloudy light yellow ale with a huge, rocky, white head. Terrific retention. Smoky, fruity aroma... notes of banana and tangerine with a kiss of clove. Malty-sweet, fruity flavor. Medium-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Sweet, fruity, gently spicy finish. Decent for the style, but I don’t tend to dig hefes.

On tap at the Map Room. Really hazy, thick, simplistic weizen with overbearing bubblegum flavours and some banana. A bit boring, and not entirely pleasant to choke down.

A surprisingly sweet hefe. Initially bitter but then overwhelmed by sweet and wheat. Its drinkable, and we kept it as a "dessert beer". Near-cloying. Light colour and good foamy head. Neutral on the aroma.

From tap at Rixdorf brewpub, sold as Rixdorfer Hefeweizen, yet served in a Julius Echter glass - rebadged beer according to the owner. Pours hazy orange/yellow with a lacing white head. Dry estery and fruity aroma. Flavouris dry estery with a mild banana note and a more subdued orange fruity note. Ends dry an wheaty. Classic wheatbeer (not my style).

Ahh! A great wheaty aroma wafts from the glass. Slightly dry and more carbonated than most. Adequate stuff, but the flavor is not quite as good as other German wheats.

Cloudy golden with a huge head on the pour. Aroma of wheat, clove, yeast and some lemon. Sweet in the front of the mouth, but that’s quickly replaced by a weak sourness. You expect more from the flavor after the pleasant aroma, but no such luck.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tart, tangy, fizzy but soft. The palate was far too close to watery, especially in the finish. Some hops - created a "lemony soap" flavor. not overly impressive.

Nice cloudy, golden color and thich creamy head. A little tangy for me with hints of vanilla and banana. Not bad.
