Cornfield (4343), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jan 11, 2006 Updated: Jan 12, 2006Personal Milestone: My Second Beer named "Jumping Cow"!And amber this one is indeed, with a creamy off-white head. Smells all fruity with sweet malts. My bottle must be fresher than those of other reviewers, ’cause it’s got a clean bready taste accompanied by caramel and apple with a light, earthy hop bitterness. Good session material. From RAYBOY01’s Fridge
JPDIPSO (4286), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Dec 9, 2006 Looks like this one is contract brewed regionally throughout the country, as this one was brewed by Schell’s in New Ulm, MN. Nice light copper color with a full head of somewhat creamy beige bubbles. Dry caramel and a hint of herbal/floral hops. My sweetness meter must be off tonight as everything is really sweet to me. Caramel and toasty bread in the flavors. Only a mild herbal, rosemary comes to mind, herbal hops presents in the finish. A rather dry linger, with only a hint of toasted malt. Ever so slightly metallic late in the linger. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2007 Bottle from shp555. Hazy medium coppery/orangy pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of heavy corn flakey malt, brown sugar, toffee, citrus, hops. Tastes caramel malty, with some hopcitrus notes, slight toffee, and brown sugar. This one actually finished a bit ESBish, with more tannins noted and less fruit and hops. Not bad.
