2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a not that amber cloudy yellow orange with a super small soapy white head. Nice aroma of understated caramel apples. Flavor very similar to aroma, light caramel apple, green apple skin bitterness. That bitterness stays a little afterwards, though the caramel does become a bit more obvious. Weighty feel for an amber, with a nice amount of carbonation; leaves the back of the throat a bit sticky though. Yea, not to bad at all.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s Aroma of bread with hints of caramel. Nice light brown/orange color. Taste of cereal, toast and bready yeast. Just enough bitterness to balance the sweet malt. Rich mouth feel. Sweetness lingers for balance. Light bread aftertaste. A surprisingly enjoyable amber ale.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from my aunt the day before Thanksgiving. Oddly, the bottle says it’s from River Trent Brewing Company in CA. Pours a medium orange, basically amber color. About a half finger of head. Aroma is slighty malty but not much else going on. Taste gives off caramel and toffee notes but leans heavily on the malt characteristics with a hoppy finish. A thin, watery mouthfeel. Almost reminds me of homebrew. Not a compliment. This cow should jump over the moon and stay adrift in space forever.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Slightly hazed amber-brown with a small off-white head.
Bready, watery, caramel malt scent.
Taste is slightly sour, doughy, caramel...
Light, but rather harsh and unpleasant.

Bottle. Lactic caramel malt aroma. Amber with minimal head. Very lightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Light, watery body. On the plus side, nothing unpleasant but pretty boring.

Not a big fan of Ambers but this is a pretty easy drinker. Not big on the palate but smooth.

"pretty much what you expect at 5.99 a sixer. decent malt backbone and some floral hops in the aroma. balanced but malt leaning flavor, on the light side, with an unassuming body."
