Location: 12 oz bottle from Trader Joe’s, 11/18/12

Aroma: The nose is heavy on caramel, rather malty, and has some lighter earthy notes
Appearance: This one pours an amber color with a small beige head, and some light lace
Flavor: This one has a kind of unpleasant taste of macro-lager, caramel, and other of flavors
Palate: The body is medium, it feels a little too sticky, and almost cloying, with a pretty lively carbonation
Overall Impression:  I wasn’t a huge fan of this beer. The flavor just doesn’t work all that well in my opinion, and the quality is not really that high. Really not a winner in my opinion.

Cheap at Trader Joe’s. My sample says river trent brewing in ukia california. From a bottle its a darker beer. Smell and taste of malt, creamy malt. Smooth, almost cloying on the buds. Grows on yawl.

Bottle today @ Nikki’s and Kenny’s housewarming. Medium malty, medium hoppy, extra bready, medium bitter, light body. A-OK for something light especially outdoors.

Beer started out ok, but had a really bad finish that got worse as it warmed up. Had a very hard time finishing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a deep orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of bready malt, a bit of cardboard, some fruit, caramel and maybe a hint of hops. Papery, malty and bready flavour with a bit more hops then the aroma suggests along with caramel and some fruit. Average to medium bodied. Not very good, just O.K.

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s Aroma of bread with hints of caramel. Nice light brown/orange color. Taste of cereal, toast and bready yeast. Just enough bitterness to balance the sweet malt. Rich mouth feel. Sweetness lingers for balance. Light bread aftertaste. A surprisingly enjoyable amber ale.

Bottle from my aunt the day before Thanksgiving. Oddly, the bottle says it’s from River Trent Brewing Company in CA. Pours a medium orange, basically amber color. About a half finger of head. Aroma is slighty malty but not much else going on. Taste gives off caramel and toffee notes but leans heavily on the malt characteristics with a hoppy finish. A thin, watery mouthfeel. Almost reminds me of homebrew. Not a compliment. This cow should jump over the moon and stay adrift in space forever.
