COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note - Hoppercar is a dry-hopped version of Conductor’s Craft Ale We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a ‘hopback’ mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented.

On tap @ Milos Beer Emporium: pours a burnished gold color, with a small white cap that does not last long. Aroma is lightly fruity with citus and sweetness. Flavor follows aroma - lightly sweet, lightly hoppy, clean fast finish - inoccuous bordering on bland. Nothing really stands out here. An entry level craft ale at best.

Can bought at the LCBO in Toronto/Canada. Overall a really good malty ale. Copper brown color, malty and som floral aroma, taste malty with a bitter finish. The hops was not so present in this beer. A tasty brew.

Canned sample. Pale copper in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of fresh cut pine, white grapefruit pith, and toasted malt. More conifer notes in the mouth, along with mild citrus and a grainy finish. Moderate bitterness, medium bodied, and virtually no sweet caramel notes. Not bad overall.

Pours a clear copper, and a huge creamy white head. Aroma notes include beautiful notes of citrus, caramel, toffee, and chewy malts. Tasting notes include rich caramels, toffee, citrus, and a delicate pine resin bitter finish. I always looked passed this beer, and now I wish I hadn’t! I think I might have a new go to beer!

Tall can. Pours clear amber with white head. Nose is citrus, spicy, floral, earth. Flavour is same with really nice malt balance. This is probably the surprise beer of my Ontario trip, wasn’t expecting much but everything came together really well. If I still lived here it would be a favourite.
