COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note - Hoppercar is a dry-hopped version of Conductor’s Craft Ale We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a ‘hopback’ mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented.

On tap @ Milos Beer Emporium: pours a burnished gold color, with a small white cap that does not last long. Aroma is lightly fruity with citus and sweetness. Flavor follows aroma - lightly sweet, lightly hoppy, clean fast finish - inoccuous bordering on bland. Nothing really stands out here. An entry level craft ale at best.

Canette 473ml. Couleur orange brûlé trouble, mousse beige foncée. Arôme de malt, orange, houblon herbal. Goût de malt grillé, houblon herbal, amertume moyenne, caramel. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.

Can. Pours a hazy Amber without much of a head. Lightly floral soapy aroma. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Light caramel, lemon, light woody resin, pine... Nice enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can - 473ml. Hazy amber body with an average off-white frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and piney hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries malty and piney notes. Ends with a good bitter finish. Not bad.

Can, Embrun LCBO. Golden brown, bubbly white head.Toasty, bread, some fruity hop aroma. Tate is more toasty biscuity malt mixed with earthy fruity hops. This is a straight up English Pale to my taste. Clean. Short finish. A tad watery. Nothing wrong here - also not a bunch to rave about - just a solid made English Pale Ale.

Can. Light citrus and brown sugar aroma with some musty cardboard and cream. Almost clear copper under a lasting, off-white, lacy blanket. Flavour is quite bitter and earthy, like an English IPA, with cardboard/oxidized accents that play off the bitterness. Light stone fruit notes. Medium light body, moderate to medium carbonation, fairly crisp.

Looks a nice translucent amber, smells evenly of roasted malt and tastes like you just expertly coupled the bar car up for a long haul on the rails.

Pours clear copper with a decent white head, leaving behind a fair amount of lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas are of bready malts, caramel and grains and cereals, and a hint of honey. Tastes are sweet breads, toffee, and a slightly bitter finish. Better than expected.

473 ml can from the LCBO. Pours a clear copper with white head. Smells bready, spicy malt, hint of citrus. Taste is dominated by tasty toasted malt, with some bitterness present. Herbal notes as well. Nice ale.
