COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note - Hoppercar is a dry-hopped version of Conductor’s Craft Ale We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a ‘hopback’ mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented.

On tap @ Milos Beer Emporium: pours a burnished gold color, with a small white cap that does not last long. Aroma is lightly fruity with citus and sweetness. Flavor follows aroma - lightly sweet, lightly hoppy, clean fast finish - inoccuous bordering on bland. Nothing really stands out here. An entry level craft ale at best.

Harvest sun colour with a crisp white head. Still not getting much aroma from these beers. Hop citrus malt flavour. Nice beer. Maybe one of favourites so far.

500ml bottle from the brewery. amber with a off white head. cara malt aroma, minimal hops. medium bodied, malt forward, under hopped for an apa, but it drinks nicely as an esb. probably classified wrong on this site, but an enjoyable beer.

Cask. (Rating #4565)

Not bad, but more bland and neutral than flavourful. A lot of neutral in the flavour profile. More malty or bready than you would expect, but not in a bad way, just not what was expected for the style or hype.

Cask Days 2012. Hoppy aroma. Golden bodied. Orange citrus taste, a bit in your face bitterness for a pale, with a tad of astringency. Yet still decent drinkability.

Cask enjoyed at The Only Cafe. Not a bad pale, orange citrus hop up front. Some hop aroma. Light orange appearance. Drinkable with a dry finish. A bit rough.Appropriately carbonated. Medium mouthfeel.

On tap at the Burger Bar. A little cheezy roma. 1/4 inch of retained head. Lacy. More hop taste as it warms. Decent and drinkable, IBu tastes in the 50-60 Ipa range.
