Editor’s note - Hoppercar is a dry-hopped version of Conductor’s Craft Ale We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a ‘hopback’ mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented.

At the Ajax Beerfest. Pours amber with a small beige head. Has a carmel malt with hops and citrus aroma. Taste is carmel malt, nuts and a bit of citrus bitter. Very enjoyable.

Draught at BareBurger. More malt-forward with some light orange hoppiness, fairly thin with a short finish. Paired with an outstanding wild boar burger, this one didn’t stand a chance and failed to shine.

The floral hops bouquet foreshadows the warm, well-balanced, rich taste that teases the senses and satisfies the soul. Good stuff. Mighty good stuff.

Draft - Earthy hops and pale malts with a touch of citrus. Clear gold with a rich beige head. Citrus peel and pale malts with a nice bitterness. Lots of malt backbone.

Can. Pours a hazy Amber without much of a head. Lightly floral soapy aroma. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Light caramel, lemon, light woody resin, pine... Nice enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can - 473ml. Hazy amber body with an average off-white frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and piney hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries malty and piney notes. Ends with a good bitter finish. Not bad.

Can, Embrun LCBO. Golden brown, bubbly white head.Toasty, bread, some fruity hop aroma. Tate is more toasty biscuity malt mixed with earthy fruity hops. This is a straight up English Pale to my taste. Clean. Short finish. A tad watery. Nothing wrong here - also not a bunch to rave about - just a solid made English Pale Ale.
