2012-11-02. Crisp dark yellow body small white head. 3+ Aroma is quite sweet, banana, something fruity I can’t place. Flavour is quite fruity, lots of banana esters like a LOT. Mild pale malt is sweet. Not particularly wheaty. Very smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ A bit of an ester-bomb at times but I kind of like it. On tap at Junction, Toronto

500 ml bottle. Pours fairly clear(for the style) with a golden yellow or light amber colour. I find the aroma quite muted, but there are notes of bannana, yeast, some esters and kitchen spice. There is also a tang or citrus fruit note and some apple on the aroma. On the palate it is a touch sour, supported by yeast notes and some esters, and has a fast finish. There is a touch of something metallic/bitter in there as well. Overall, rather boring for the style but not the worst hefe i’ve had.

Pours golden clear without much head or lacing. Nice hefeweizen smell of banana and clove. Light sour and sweet malt finish. Good for style. On tap at brewery.

probstblueribbon (2916) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2013
500 mL bottle from the brewery, via Lubiere (merci!), served cool in a tulip glass. Cloudy bright yellow with a fair, frail white head. Odd, meaty smokiness, a touch of tang, some wheat and boiled cereals, bitter green herbs reminiscent of a Saison, maybe some banana cringing in the shadows, not good. Medium body and full, creamy effervescence. Oddly tangy, a little of the smoke note, maybe a touch metallic, faint banana, still not good; dry, minimal bitterness, light astringency and acidity, weird and bad. Major let down!

Bottle [500ml]. Pours a very hazy yellow-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, banana, herbs & spices and a hint of grassy hops. Pleasant flavour with a nice amount of spice and lemon along with wheat and banana. Medium bodied. A nice version of the style.

Lubiere (9999) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 20, 2013
A hazed blonde weizen with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a classic banana and cloves with light sulfur. In mouth, clean banana, cloves, nice and smooth.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy yellow-gold with a small but persistent white head. Aroma and flavour both balance banana esters with a nice hit of lemon and backing note of toasted wheat. Lemon becomes especially prominent in the back end of the flavour, along with a grassy dryness. Body is medium-full with a nice creamy character. I tend to like some clove notes in my weizen, so this one let me down a bit there - but otherwise, pretty nice!

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a murky dull golden colour with thin white head. Aroma is quite fruity with banana, lemon zest and wheat. Flavour is ripe banana, mellow lemon and chewy wheaty malt. Lightly carbonated. Pleasant.

On tap at the Tap Room. A big banana experience, with some hops. Big aroma of banana. Yellow and lacy, above average mouthfeel. OK drinkability
