3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to Leon for Bringing this 640ml bottle from S’pore. But on the bottle it says 7% Abv. Pour a very deep black color with a very dark brown color head. The head did not stay long. Aroma of light dark roasted malts. Flavors, is of very thick coffee matls, chocolate, grassy, cereals, bread, and hints of spices. Very thick full body for a 7%. Lots of flavors, long lasting taste in mouth. medium carbonation, quiet plesant stout, but maybe a touch too heavy. Very interesting and well made though.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice heavy almost savory mouthfeel on first taste. Has rich carmelized flavor notes. They’re not kidding about the cane sugar mash, which on my palate was almost cloying...but in a good soothing Singaporean home felt way.
Imperial stout in character, weight and flavor profile with a strong medicinal flavor notes and palate. The finish is syrupy and almost sticky.
Would be nice with something light like sushi or maki roll.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ de Molen (gift from a visitor?), small sample. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, slight coffee, some dark chocolate, bit flowery hop, bit earthy, slight raisin and rummy sugar. Roasty bitterness in taste, slight dry, again some licorice, slight touch of alcohol. Soft carbonation, thin to medium body. Like a bit pumped up dry stout.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Thirsty, Singapore, in plastic cup, bb Sept 2014 (inked over the 2013 printed)
Pitch black color with brown creamy head. Aroma of some malt with light tar. Good body strength; strong roasted malt flavor, but with just too much acidity from the dark malts; correct bitterness.
Bold Stout, almost Imperial, but not exciting overall.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a jet black colour with a thin glass hugging tan head. The aroma is malty, but surprisingly a little weak. The flavour is medium bitter with lots of malt, chocolate and liqourice. Much of the bitterness clearly derives from the alcohol, but its well controlled and it doesn’t overpower the beer like some other high alcohol stouts. Its highly drinkable and maybe I should be spending a little more time in Singapore!
