3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 eManu (402) - Kuala Lumpur & Brussels, - JUL 14, 2012Thanks to Leon for Bringing this 640ml bottle from S’pore. But on the bottle it says 7% Abv. Pour a very deep black color with a very dark brown color head. The head did not stay long. Aroma of light dark roasted malts. Flavors, is of very thick coffee matls, chocolate, grassy, cereals, bread, and hints of spices. Very thick full body for a 7%. Lots of flavors, long lasting taste in mouth. medium carbonation, quiet plesant stout, but maybe a touch too heavy. Very interesting and well made though.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a jet black colour with a thin glass hugging tan head. The aroma is malty, but surprisingly a little weak. The flavour is medium bitter with lots of malt, chocolate and liqourice. Much of the bitterness clearly derives from the alcohol, but its well controlled and it doesn’t overpower the beer like some other high alcohol stouts. Its highly drinkable and maybe I should be spending a little more time in Singapore!
