25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Delhaize. BBF 22/04/2014. Lower ABV version of Jupiler originally released to steal costumers from Maes – one of their main competitors. The original labels looked quite a lot like those of Maes but than came the lawsuits – than the labels changed with a much more prominent Jupiler logo on the bottle now. Different shade of blue than previous because they used the same shade of blue as Maes before. Possibly as a result of the lawsuit. All of this stuff is anyway same high ABV brew diluted water in order to get the desired ABV. So this is nothing else but the regular Jupiler with more water added – could have maybe even made this myself. Paler apple juice golden, little synthetic white head. Nose is sweet grains, soggy old cornflakes, synthetic sweet, light vegetables & white sugar. Taste is bitter cooked vegetables, grains, mouldy, soup stock, bitter synthetic, old apples, pale grains,… Slightly watery, nasty.

25cl bottle. APPEARANCE: clear blonde beer, small unstable white head. Almost no visible carbonation. NOSE: lots of yeast and malts, some plum, sugar in abundance. TASTE: this is just plain bad... I can sometimes enjoy a regular pilsener, but this is just awful... Very flat and metallic beer, no aftertaste whatsoever, not even slightly enjoyable...

33 cl. can @ Koksijde, bought @ Carrefour, Oostduinkerke. Drank from the can but undoubtly a light straw yellow beer with a thin white head. Poor thin grainy pils taste which is everything I expected from a 3,3% ABV lager.

25cl bottle from Berts Bierhuys. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. Uninspiring.

Bottle shared with McTapps. If Lager is way of a simple beer then this one is even more simple. Dull taste with sugar (which you do not taste) added. Bad beer. We all know the normal Jupiler is not a rocket but this one is definitely a waste of time.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Golden colour with big head. Taste of sugar, low malt, mild hops and mild citrus fruits. Easy to drink but nothing special.

Can, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a pint glass. Colour is golden yellow, two fingers of soapy white head, average retention. Very light lacing left behind. Not much of an aroma, just the typical malty smell of a lager. Taste is quite neutral, a very subtle sweetness and that’s all. Thin body, light carbonation. Overall, easily forgetable. Maybe useful on hot days and in occasions you know you’ll drink a lot, i.e. a barbeque.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is faint malt and cardboard. Flavour is quite and wheaty with faint bread notes.

Pale yellow/straw pour with a short lived white head. Grain husk, overcooked vegetables, sulfur, and a slight skunkiness. Grassy hops, a bit of moldy grain, and a slight sweetness. Toasted flavor with a slight graininess, a light ester sweetness, and some cooked vegetable notes. Pretty off-putting stuff.
