0,33 l bottle. Pale yellow beer with a small lacing white head. Smells moderated floral hoppy and malty, little toasty. Vertical body of light toasted malt and some grassy hop in the finish. Bready malt and dry taste in the finish. Average.

Great, I will open this after all the lengths someone went to get me this after hearing how much I Ioath it. Yes, I enter this review completely biased after watching numerous fellow Airmen drink this while I enjoyed Duval and other great Belgian ales at the "disco/dance" bar way back in 1988. "Made from the finest piss water of the Meuse River"... will that statement stand up 21 years later? Here I go, may there be mercy on my soul or at least my palate:
Clean pale golden hue with a fizzy light head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of light noble hops, corny DMS and wet grains, some herbal like spicy esters and a tinny metallic vapour. The flavor is pretty much as expected, grainy and veggie overtones with just a light spicy and grassy note. The finish is minerally and aspirin laden. The mouth feel is lively enough although far too thin body even for the genre. Well at least the bottle is not skunked, for it is what is is, for the masses pale lager that is sadly the number one selling beer in the great beer country of Belgium. I feel the monks shedding a tear as I type this and I see the faces of brothers in arms long removed but never completely forgotten.

(One Euro) Bottles in a hostel located at Brussels (good times indeed) - refreshing, simple and good beer. Good and clean taste. Sweet malt during drinking (with a hoppy finish).

Can from Brussels vending machine. A pretty good brew for a Belgian "shit" macro. Pours clear and pale with a thin white head. Weak arouma but a nice clear taste. Simple and basic but not bad.

drank this the whole weekend @ the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium. Not bad for a Pale Lager. I even enjoyed this one. It has a typical Belgian taste. The Dutch lagers don’t have this. Good, refreshing beer.

Draught at a street cafe in Brussels. One of the most popular beers in Belgium from my personal observations. It is a decent enough pilsner with a light fruity malt character and a mild dry hop bitterness to the finish. Light-medium bodied and fizzy. Better than most mass produced lagers but there are so many better beers to try in Belgium. I wouldn’t waste your palate on it if you are in the country for a short time.
