darkko (99), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA Aug 22, 2005 Had on tap in Belgium. Very good and refreshing. A nice aroma and nice hop bitterness, but not quite enough. I can’t complain though. A good beer overall. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA Aug 17, 2005 Begian swill is a whole lot better than american swill, but its still swill. Nothing remarkable about this pale lager. Goes down smooth and easy for healf the price of a real Belgian ale. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 16, 2005 So it’s Belgian. It’s golden, it’s a lager. It’s unremarkable. I suspect that European pilsener-style connoisseurs might find something in this, but my party was unimpressed. This was being promoted at the Esplande BierMarkt in Toronto when I was up there. All that’s not to say it’s a horrid brew, but nothing really to write home about either. (Although, apparently, it’s enough about which to write a review.) Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 30, 2005 Can. Golden colour with a small white head. Malty grassy aroma and taste. Light body and a light sweet finish. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Jul 29, 2005 Updated: Mar 11, 2009(Canned) Clear, pale golden color with a small, mostly fading head. Mild aroma with some acid and butter, plus honey hints. Reasonably grassy-hoppy flavor with toffee hints. Light-bodied with soft carbonation. A bit similar flavorwise to Schwaben Bräu (from Lidl), but not quite as hoppy. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2005 Bottled 75cl (BB 06/2006)
Golden color, decent white head. Grassy plastic, harsh aroma. Malty, harsh, similar to German bulk lagers. Prugel (13), Netherlands Jul 22, 2005 refreshing but a bit sharp.
typical belgium pilsner.
dry taste but easy drinkable. Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium Jul 14, 2005 A quite nice lager. A bit of a bitter aftertaste.
(Bottle 33cl,25cl,can,tap) My favorite is the bottle.
