drank this the whole weekend @ the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium. Not bad for a Pale Lager. I even enjoyed this one. It has a typical Belgian taste. The Dutch lagers don’t have this. Good, refreshing beer.

Draught at a street cafe in Brussels. One of the most popular beers in Belgium from my personal observations. It is a decent enough pilsner with a light fruity malt character and a mild dry hop bitterness to the finish. Light-medium bodied and fizzy. Better than most mass produced lagers but there are so many better beers to try in Belgium. I wouldn’t waste your palate on it if you are in the country for a short time.

hallmark of mas consumed Belgian beers. golden pour, white head. malty aroma with notes floral hops and some sweetness. taste, sweet malts with a light bitter hops finish. Tatsy pale lager, for what it is, it could be a lot worse.

sampled from the can at the Buggenhout train station from a vending machine, the only proper way to sample a Jupiler. Pale yellow. Very grassy hop nose. Herbal and fairly dry. Fizzy mineral water stuff going on. Not bad for a swill.

got this can at a shop across from the train station in Schaerbeek, Brussels, Belgium today. I don’t like stinky beer and this one stinks, literally, like cabbage farts. Poured with a really nice big foamy textured head and a little lace. Pale clear gold color. the aroma shows up in the flavor too, but not as bad. Still. Hard to get around that.

Can, train station vending machine. Clear gold and fizzy. Corny aroma but not off-putting one. Quaffable but fizzy. Nice and dry in the finish with nutty malts. Is surprisingly decent.

Most common Belgian lager, quite nice though. Slight bitterness, no skunkiness and nasty aftertaste - good for what it is.

Almost tasteless and not as refreshing as its main Belgian rival: Stella Artois.Very fizzy and the head is surprisingly long-lasting. Very bitter and a little acidic.
