3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DutchDrebus (1112) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUL 21, 2011
About the beer itself: Decent pilsener, regular pilsener score for me.
The best thing about it is the 25cl bottles. That way, as soon as the beer starts thinking about getting warm, you’ll be about to finish it. You wil hardly ever drink warm jupiler, if you’ve kept it in the fridge.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. One of the better pale lagers around. 150711
Had a ton of this stuff on a high school field trip to Bruxelles some 15 years ago, so I just had to buy a bottle when I saw it again, even though I wasn’t expecting anything good.

Standard yellow beer with a heineken skunk aroma. Taste is just that with lower hop character and a pinch of roasted grainy astringency.

On tap at Bier Markt, Toronto. Pale golden pilsner with small head. Sweet, grainy, and somewhat grassy. Short bitter finish. Crisp in the mouth, but so-so at best. Me no likey!

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2011 Draft in Amsterdam. Pale yellow in glass. Fizzy white head. Aroma is a little grassy, malty. Taste is a refreshing malt lager. Not much hop action going on at all. Very fizzy in the mouth.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 prawlie (474) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2011
25 mL bottle at home poured into a Hoegaarden glass. A special beer for me this, the first beer I ever drink all those days ago. Golden with slighy fizz and head that disappears quickly. Malty and acidic aroma, smells mildly of vomit. Malty, but also a little bitter sweet. I’d rather have this than the lagers I’d get in my local English pubs, but then I’d rather have a good English ale than this now. Its decent enough for a bog standard lager. Marginally better than Belgian Stella Artois.
