On tap @ Jupiter. Helles and Pils offered...alright. Clear straw colored beer with a white head. The nose is decently bready with some plainer grain sweetness. Grass, a bit of orange zest, and floral notes. Pretty light and clean. The flavor is moderately sweet with minimal bitterness. Plenty of bread and grain, some grass, and light citrus and floral qualities. Nice dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. Beer board labeled it as just "Lager", while the menu labeled it as the "Helles Lager". The manager confirmed that they are infact the same beer.
Pours with a clear, deep yellow body with a small and fading white head. Aromas are bready, sweet, grainy, malty and some minerals. Bitter with a touch of diacetyl (shouldn’t be there). Flavors are bitter, papery, bready, and malty with a hint of DMS. Lively and dry.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours slight cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light yeasty and grassy hops. Smooth malty flavoured with a light grassy touch. Bitter and subdued sweetness into the finish. Good one, more bohemian than German Helles.

1.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draught. Absolutely no discernible nose off this one. I swirled, sloshed and dang near snorted it. Got a slight wet hay aroma finally. White, fizzy, diminishing head w/ no lacing. Very clear and sparkling. Pale yellow - overall, resembles a dry sparking wine. Saltwater up front w/ a moderately bitter-going-astringent finish.
