"DRAKE’S: Solid use of the honey, which was pleasantly floral on the nose and nicely sweet on the palate. Slightly hoppier than most weak wheats that use honey to cover up a bad beer. Not a favorite style, but done well."

Pale golden pour with a white head. Sweet malt, bread, and grain aromas. A hint of floral honey, some yeast, and a touch of grass. Mild citrus quality and on the whole, a bit watery. The flavor is on the bland and watery side. Some bread, wheat, and hints of honey with an overall grainy flavor. Some citrus peel notes, a touch of grass, and very light yeast.

A - Served a very cloudy golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades at a normal pace leaving behind some good lace. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet wheat with some honey with some banana yeast smells and a bit of orange and citrus. T - Starts out with some honey, sweet wheat, and grains. Through the middle some orange hop flavor comes through with some banana and clove yeast flavors. The finish is a mix of sweet honey with some citrus hop and a bit of wheat. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet honey finish. D - Very drinkable. Decent wheat beer with a touch more more flavor than others.

On tap at Drakes Barrel House. Pours cloudy blonde with a nice white head and a banana and honey aroma. There is a dry wheat flavor with a bitter finish The honey has soured slightly and it is not at all sweet.

On tap at the Drakes Barrel House. It pours yellow with a nice white head. The aroma is fruity with lemons, orange, and a little wheat and soap. Tiny bit of honey. The flavor is very light and watery with a crisp wheaty finish. Descent mouthfeel despite the watery flavor. Pretty bland really.

...on tap at the berkley location. Looked a clear yellow with no head. Nose had slight honey aroma, some yeast. Way to thin, like the hef I tried, slight wheat and honey flavor, with a very dry finish. Lacks flavor, body, and mouthfeel. Weak.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is vague butterish and caramelish. Slight bitter and fruity hops flavoured on top of a dominant light caramelish and medium sweet malt base. Fruity with minor slight butterish and citric notes into the finish.

Ungstrup (29828) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of honey and caramel as well as light notes of wheat. The flavor is very sweet - too sweet for me, and with strong notes of honey, probably pretty high FG, let it ferment lower, please. Behind the honey there are notes of wheat and flowers, leading to a dry wheaty finish, where the sweetness lingers.
