On tap at Jupiter in Berkeley. Pours dark Amber with a creamy head. Smell of hops but taste is not overwhelming. A nice mix of an amber ipa. This brewery has some winners. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red-amber color with a nice foamy head and lots of lace. Pine and raisin aroma. Nicely balanced bitterness, and just a bit astringent. Very good. Somewhere in between an amber and an IPA, but I feel like I’ve had a billion of these lately, and very few stand out.

"Poured at Drakes (as their beer, what the hell?). Very nice hoppy red ale, ample sweetness and caramel malts followed by a swift hop kick to the head...citric and bitter. Very good."

On tap @ Jupiter. Pours amber in color with an off-white head. The nose is caramel malt, some fruit, and toasted bread. A bit of floral hops, earth, and some fruity sweetness. The flavor is pleasantly sweet with just a mild bitterness. A lot of caramel, toast, and bread. Some earth, floral hops, and a light fruit ester character.

A decent red. Pours a nice clear copper color with a tan head. Smells great, like vanilla and nuts. Taste however is a little more bitter then expected. Hoppy right at the start. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the source. A creamy, just off-white head that leaves good lace covers the mostly clear red to amber body. Aromas are fruity, estery, caramel, light nutty notes, some hop aromas of pine and citrus. Flavors are bitter, fruity, dry and a bit papery. Assertively bitter, light hops and esters. Lively bubbles and a dry mouthfeel.

Ruby-red in color, clear and clean with a small white head, leaves some lacing. Caramel malt, pine and grass in the nose. The palate is light in body, decently carbonated, with a short finish. The taste is mostly sweet upfront with caramel malt, but finishing with a significant pine and grass flavor. This beer grew on me as it warmed. The sweetness of the malt is nicely balanced by the hop bitterness. A bit outside the style but a refreshing and interesting choice.

On tap. Clear orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head leaving broad curtains of lacework. Light aroma hops in the nose. Medium body, roasted malts, a little burned caramel and again good peachy hops that leave a solid bitterness. Almost a dark IPA. 120709
