A flavorful interpretation of the American Ale. We’ve dry-hopped an American mild ale with cascade hops. The result is a beer that crosses boundaries between a pale ale and an IPA, keeping things refreshing and drinkable while giving an aromatic twist and complexity.

Mild pine hop aroma. Burnt hazy Some bitterness with copper color with an off-what head. Some bitterness that fades to a simple finish. Mild sweetness in the background. Has some body to it but has a refreshing feel to it at the same time. This would be a good starter craft beer as it’s not too complex or overwhelming. I’d drink this one again.

Bomber at home. Aroma is sweet malt with a noticeable acetone note. Flavors of brown sugar and fruity, piney hops. A bit astringent. A faint strawberry fruitiness in the far finish. Well balanced and easy drinking, but not really memorable.

A fairly mild beer, it left me saying " I think we need a bigger boat of flavor." The hops were subtle, and would gradually build, but all in all not one I would go back to for a second tasting.

Bottle with name Buzzards Bay. Poured clear pale copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable brew that met my expectations.

Pours a nice golden color with a light head leaving no lacing. Very little aroma slight fruit aroma. Very light tasting beer with a little hoppiness in the middle. Not a bad one, but not at the top of my list.

Deep gold pour, little head. Citrus to the nose. Taste of hoppy water. Very light easy to drink. Somewhat bland. Ok at best.

Thoroughly drinkable with a nice body, though thin carbonation. Hops emerge slowly, creating a mellow effect. A pint seems about the right size. I’d seek this out if fresh and local. Otherwise, there’s nothing too distinctive here, but certainly a safe enough choice regardless.

Sampled at esbls. Copper hued with an off white ring. Tropical fruit flavors with caramel. Fairly sweet. Easy to drink and enjoyable.

Date tasted: May 11, 2013... Glassware: Victory nonick... Occasion: Mother’s Day weekend... Appearance: chestnut brown body with an off-white head that sits haphazardly... Aroma: mellow hops with a bit of grass or damp hay--not much to denote whale of an ale... Palate: smooth, easy-drinking with minimal impact at the teeth...again, Ahab wouldn’t see a challenge in this... Taste: a bit winey/grapey; mellow but not memorable... Overall: Pass the harpoon--or a Harpoon....the bottle’s simple image fascinated me into a purchase, but this pale ale pales to much meatier, mellower, enjoyable brews....
