COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A flavorful interpretation of the American Ale. We’ve dry-hopped an American mild ale with cascade hops. The result is a beer that crosses boundaries between a pale ale and an IPA, keeping things refreshing and drinkable while giving an aromatic twist and complexity.

Bottle at the American Craft Beer Fest in Boston. Poured an amber-brown. Very standard beery flavors. Grains, grass, malt, hops, nothing overwhelming. Decent, and their banner said it sells for about fifteen bucks a case. Definitely worth it if that’s the price point.

Bottle. Caramel malt and herbal hops aroma. Amber color with small head. Mildly sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter flavor. Not bad - maltier than the average APA.

pours a strange, gold-brown....looks like wood...murky with a tall, soapy light tan head. Aroma is malt, hops, very faint scent. Flavour is earthy, some hop bitter, caramel malt sweetness....bread heel....a little bitter nut. Not bad, a little flatness to the hop bitter....well worth the low price...$ 5.39 for a bomber....

Bomber. Pretentiously understated label. The appearance is perhaps the best part. I wouldn’t rate this as between an APA and IPA...more like a straight APA with slightly more malt in the body. Slight bitterness but somewhat more hop flavor. Cascades (surprise!). Pleasant.

Flowery hops, malt, and some citrus in the aroma. Flavors starts crisp and finishes with a hop bite. Nothing fancy, but a pretty good pale ale.

On tap at Just Beer. Pours a lightly hazed orange amber with a thin white head. Hops and toast on the nose. Earthy hops, toast and malt. Nice earth and malt notes. Toast and grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Nice APA.

Bottle. Pours an amber/copper color with a small off white head that recedes to a ring. Nose is mostly caramel and sweet malts, some light nuts and a touch of resiny hops. Palate is very stingy, with a light stickiness on the molars and tongue. Flavor is resiny hops up front, then a big sweetness with caramel and toast notes.

Possible confusion alert. I had the Just Beer Flip Flop and Just Beer Moby D one after the other. The Flip Flop (the Amber Ale) was more hoppy, extra-refreshing and paler. A true Pale Ale for me. Then I had the Moby D (the Pale Ale) which was darker, less refreshing and less hoppy. A true Amber Ale for me. I suspect there might have been a mix-up with the bottle labels. Either that or Just Beer have a funny interpretation of the styles. I am reviewing the beer as they were labelled and not what I think they should have been

In short: A toasted and slightly hoppy ale. More like a basic amber ale. Decent.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh the day after purchase
The look: Clear golden amber body topped by a small beige head
In long: Smooth nose of leafy and fruity hops. Toasted grainy malts with a taste of bread crust. Basic caramel. Leafy and fruity hops without much character. Some hops resin in the finish. The beer is certainly not offensive and easy to drink but feels a bit muted. And what’s with the beer name? Afraid to say Dick? Dick is too much of a dirty word? A symptom of the new politically correct America. Soon a “Yo momma’s so fat” joke will be “Yo momma’s so fat that she runs the risk of developing heart disease and type 2 diabetes”. LOL!

Clear amber brew. Some maltiness, some hops. Nothing too exciting here. Also metallic tinge to it like the other Just Beer offerings I have tried. Dissapointing.

Pours a clear amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is of sweeter malts, slight yeast, wheat, hops, and grain. Flavor is of malts, hops, cereal, grain, and some spices. Leaves a grassy hops finish.
