UPDATED: JAN 2, 2014 Best tasting of all the session IPAs Iíve tried. Far better than All Day. Canít fathom the low scores this beer has gotten. Iím reminded of the flavor profile of Stoneís IPA, toned down and with an ABV under 5.

Draft @ Holy Grail, Epping, NH. Crystal clear yellow urine color, some head retention. Aroma is weak biscuit malt and weak floral hops. I donít get Citra from the dry hopping in the nose.

Flavor is weak notes of grassy and floral hops. Malt base is mild with light grain. The body is thin and watery. Lightly dry finish and texture. Very mild in every way. Dare I say weak?? Ok, overall itís not impressive for any true hophead. But it does work as a decent shelf beer when grabbing groceries at the super market.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a huge foamy orange-beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty caramel and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter grapefruit, malty biscuit, caramel, lemon and a touch of floral hops. Medium length finish of biscuit, caramel and grapefruit. Medium body. Nothing special but pleasant drinking.

Pours a light orange. Has a strong a strong citrus and hop aroma. An average flavor with heavy grains, malts, and light citrus hops. A bitter malt and hop aftertaste.

Decent IPA, fresh bottle. Fruity citrus taste initially, and then a little malty watery. Decent drinkability.

A great-tasting IPA, great label, horrible choice of name. Hoppy contrasted by malt. Best part is the right amount of alcohol for enjoying a few at a time - rare for an IPA. Love this beer, only wish it was more readily available.

Draft. Pours dark yellow with white head that lingers and good lacing. Medium carbonation and medium hop aroma. A decent representative of the style but nothing spectacular. Think harpoon ipa plus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body under a one finger fizzy off-white head that left a touch of lacing. The nose is pretty decent, you can tell thereís a bit of dry-hopping going on here. Some nice citra and simcoe notes over a caramel, toasty, and lightly crystal malt base. The flavor is where things go a bit awry though. Itís a little too sweet and there are the hallmark flavors of crystal malt, which I really donít care for in an IPA. The hops arenít too bad, very light bitterness, but there are some decent hop flavors in here from the dry hopping. Light to medium bodied with a bit of clinginess on the finish from the residual crystal malt sugars, moderate firm fizzy carbonation. Not the best IPA, but it was drinkable.

Pours a golden color with a fluffy white head. The aroma is cirtus, grapefruit, and pine. The flavor is sweet up front with a pine backing the palate feels watery for an ipa

This is one of the worst IPAís I ever drank. IPAís should be citrus, pineapple, but not MINTY! Of course any hop head knows this. We wonít even get to the lack of malt balance. I blame The Boston Brewery for farming this out to other breweries and just passing off a bad recipe for a business venture. David Grinnell I would expect better from a former New Amsterdam brewer.
