3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy apple cider brown pour some white head. Aroma of acetate, bretta, sage, pumpkin. Full pumpkin flavor, spice takes the backseat. Melds well with a full kick of belgian saison yeast. Acidic and dry. Sorta like pumpkin pickle juice. Uncompromising and bold, it could use one more element to tie the flavors all together.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Dirty amber, moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing. Herbal aroma, a bit of muted spices. I sense some minor cinnamon and nutmeg. Has a mainly earthy background. Certainly not sharp or bright. A little tart on the tongue, pale spices, a bit flat, mealy, and herbal. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Lightly tart finish, muted spices, mealy, a bit barnish and musty. Not your traditional Pumpkin Ale as those spices really only come through on the nose, and its very slight. Different, interesting, well made, but not my thing.   Almost too herbal and earthy for my tastes.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent light amber with a slight beige? head. Aroma is moderate pie spice. Med body or so. Flavor starts with a sour hit, followed by pie spice, arguably fruit esters, and finishing with gingerbread. Then it starts all over again, This is really tasty.

A bit of a misnomer -- not only a pumpkin ale using Belgian yeast, but sour Belgian yeast at that! And just when you think you've tried all possible pumpkin varieties too! A solid lightly sour ale, with a light infusion of pumpkin-oriented spices. An interesting take -- and it works! B+
