For some reason I didn’t have high expectations for this but found it to be alright. Amber colored, thick off white head and lots of lacing. The overall appearance of this beer does get you off to a great start. A little maltier than I typically like, but I’m not going to really complain because there was more flavor that I thought there would be. A wood-like finish and aftertaste

Aug 12, 2008 Sampled from bottle, pours a clear copper colour with a fairly large white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, tofee and raisins. Taste is relatively clean, crisp with a soft hop finish.

Aug 5, 2008 Pour is light amber with small tan head. Aroma is strong of caramel and malt. Flavor is also full of caramel. Very smooth palate with a nice crisp finish. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
